Explore the best of Chengdu in one day with a friendly English-speaking local who will take you around the city’s scenic spots. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and bring you to Taikoo Li where you can experience the perfect blending of ancient and modern as you stroll across contemporary retail establishments combined with recreated lane patterns and preserved buildings. Next stop is the Chengdu Museum where you can learn more about the splendid history of China’s fourth largest city. Right in time for lunch, your guide will bring you to Jinli Old Street where you can munch on local delicacies and do a bit of souvenir shopping from the many folk handicraft shops. Jinli is known as “First Street of Shu Kingdom” and the buildings here are modeled on the architectural style of a traditional town in western Sichuan Province from the Qing Dynasty. After lunch, you’ll get to participate in uniquely Chengdu activities at People’s Park where expert dancers, singers, tea makers and ear pickers/cleaners converge. Final stop is The Wide and Narrow Alleys, which are the epitome of the old life of Chengdu. The area is composed of three parallel ancient streets and complex of courtyard houses that are protected heritage sites. After a full day of sightseeing, try out some recommended local dishes for dinner before heading back to your hotel.

Questa è una buona attività per iniziare un viaggio - una sorta di assaggio di ciò che la città ha da offrire - ma c'erano molte più camminate del previsto che possono essere stancanti il primo giorno. Il museo è stato un grande sollievo dal caldo di mezzogiorno e ci siamo goduti la passeggiata mattutina attorno a Jinli street prima che la folla scendesse.
Questo è stato un buon tour perché la guida (Taylor) ha fatto del suo meglio per rendere il viaggio piacevole e conveniente. Il viaggio era in metropolitana che era molto economico e conveniente. Tuttavia, a causa delle festività pubbliche, luoghi come Narrow Alley e Jinli Street erano molto affollati. La fila al Museo di Chengdu era piuttosto lunga ma gestibile.
Si consiglia vivamente alle persone che viaggiano liberamente di partecipare a questo itinerario.Si consiglia di organizzare questo tour di un giorno il primo giorno. Oltre a presentare la cultura e la storia locale, la guida del tour ci porterà anche a visitare le principali attrazioni locali. È possibile conoscere rapidamente Chengdu.

La nostra guida turistica Shirley, è stata davvero gentile e disponibile, molto premurosa per il nostro bambino. Tuttavia, per quanto riguarda il tour non c'è molto da vedere in città, ad eccezione del parco del popolo e dell'alleato stretto e largo. Considerando che il tour ti porta comunque con i mezzi pubblici, è meglio fare il tour da solo. Taxi (meno di 20 yuan da un'attrazione all'altra), le tariffe dei treni (2-3 yuan per corsa) sono così economiche e non ci sono biglietti d'ingresso per nessuno dei luoghi che il tour ti porta, quindi non vale la pena HKD 500+ per persona che ti fanno pagare.
