- Welcome to Family Day at Tai Kwun Contemporary! For this event, presented by Tai Kwun Contemporary in collaboration with MUDWORK and Rooftop Institute in partnership with Wendy Tai, Pipilotti Rist’s artwork is the inspiration for a series of activities created by artists. Parents and children are encouraged to explore the body and moving images with activities that invigorate our senses and let us experience the world in a different way. This artist-led programme invites any child aged five or older and accompanied by a parent/guardian to participate.

About the Workshops:
Cloud-Shaped Stool Workshop
- Collaborating artist: MUDWORK
- Clouds often appear in children’s drawings, just as their amorphous forms can be easily imagined as different objects. MUDWORK invites parents and children to explore their close relationship and their bodies’ boundaries by drawing each other as clouds, and then turning their artwork into unique wooden stools. Workshop details:

Rhapsody of Light
- Collaborating partner and artist: Rooftop Institute and Wendy Tai
- What does the magic of our world look like through children’s eyes? How can parents avoid being judgmental and offering too much guidance so that they can explore imagination with their children? Artist Wendy Tai has designed a workshop to observe and discuss how Pipilotti Rist uses light and colour in her work to express diverse subject matter. She also invites parents and children to reconnect their senses with their surroundings by creating cycle wheels. Workshop details:

Entry arrangements:
- Parents are responsible for making sure their children follow gallery rules
- Please do not touch the exhibits
- No food or drinks are allowed inside the gallery
- No selfie sticks or tripods
- Visitor can store oversized luggage in the cloakroom during gallery opening hours
- Please place umbrellas at the umbrella rack by the gallery main entrance or store them in the cloakroom

Il Tai Kwun Family Day è sempre stato popolare tra genitori e bambini. I laboratori sono diversificati e i bambini interagiscono tra loro.
È stato un divertente Tai Kwun Family Day. Gli amici di tutte le età hanno potuto completare insieme un pezzo di legno. I bambini erano così entusiasti di poter usare gli strumenti elettrici. L'istruttore ha anche spiegato il metodo e il processo in modo molto chiaro.
Un effetto di luci e ombre così bello, pieno di immaginazione, i bambini sono così felici di andarsene.
Ottime attività genitore-figlio, esercitare l'abilità pratica dei bambini. 👍🏻👍🏻 Spero di tenere di più.
Il laboratorio è guidato da una persona speciale per spiegare, in modo da poter comprendere meglio il significato delle mostre stesse e lasciare che i bambini usino liberamente la loro creatività per completare le loro opere!
Che mostra d'arte interessante. I bambini verranno accompagnati nel tour dal personale della sede e ci saranno attività estese per approfondire la loro memoria e vivere una bella esperienza.
Mi piace molto questa attività, può dare la possibilità a bambini e genitori di apprezzare insieme i lavori, lo staff è molto gentile.
