Also known as the Setouchi International Art Festival, the Setouchi Triennale is a contemporary art festival held every three years in the Seto Inland Sea, which separates two of the country's main islands (Honshu and Shikoku). Its theme is 'Restoration of the Sea', and it aims to revitalize the once thriving island communities and transform the region.
