The competition is divided into three departments: the “Star Mine Department” that continuously launches hundreds of fireworks, the “No. 10 Fireworks Department” that focuses on the arrangement and color of the stars when the fireworks bloom, and the “Creative Fireworks Department” that showcases objects and new technologies. In about 2 hours and 30 minutes, a total of about 20,000 fireworks are launched. It is one of the largest fireworks festivals in Japan, and a large number of tourists come every year! In addition to the competitive fireworks, there are other entertainment fireworks, among which the “Tsuchiura Fireworks Long Line Continuous Firing” is a must-see highlight.
