What an absolutely wonderful stay! This hotel was truly perfect, it had everything you could possibly need and then some. Everything was exceptionally clean, comfortable, and beautifully taken care of. The staff were absolutely amazing, so warm, friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming\. You could tell they really cared about making sure their guests had a wonderful experience. We especially appreciated all the little details that made our stay so easy and enjoyable, even having an elevator was such a wonderful bonus. Everything was thoughtfully provided, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for more. We loved every minute of our stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone! We would happily stay here again in a heartbeat!

We stayed at City Lion by Semavi for 2 nights while exploring the main sights of Heraklion with our two young children (ages 7 and 4), and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The apartment was spacious and very well designed, easily accommodating a family. It was fully equipped with everything we needed, including two bathrooms, two double beds, a comfortable living area, and a kitchen that made it easy to have relaxed meals in. A thoughtful touch was the complimentary coffee, milk, and bottled water, which could also be replenished daily. The reception team were outstanding—extremely helpful and friendly throughout our stay. They arranged taxis for us when needed and were always available to assist, which made travelling with young children much easier. The location is also a real highlight. It’s right in the city centre, making it convenient for sightseeing, restaurants, and exploring Heraklion, but set just far enough back that it remains quiet and peaceful at night. The bus station is also within a 15-minute walk, which was very useful for day trips. Overall, this was a fantastic short stay. It worked perfectly for a family trip, and we would happily recommend it to others. We’d definitely stay here again on a return visit to Heraklion.

Very modern hotel/apartment complex. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Electronic entry worked well. There a helpful reception (open mostly during the day but not 24/7). If coming by rental car dropping bags can be an issue. Expect narrow streets with no parking. But there is a great 24/7 parking garage 2 minutes walk away.

The staff at City Lion were amazing! We were welcomed at our arrival and shown the basic features of our apartment, which included a private garden! During our stay, Manos was able to assist us in finding a taxi driver to take us into the mountains to visit two wineries! The location is great, with a laundromat a block away, a fun bar on the corner, and all sorts of restaurants and key attractions within a 5-10 minute walk. Our bed linens were changed after 2 days and the coffee pods and bottled water were refreshed at our request. The room was quiet, temperature controlled, and very clean. We would recommend this hotel as very comfortable and pleasant.
