We used to LOVE Montree with its great location and wonderful cafe/restaurant. However, this last stay was different… I was book with 2 people but was denied a second key. Then I was told it’s always been the policy which I know is not true since we’ve been there multiple times before. When I asked for manager, someone claiming was the owner was less than cordial, especially to a repeat customer. I also found our room door was in disrepair. This made me sad since I liked it enough to have been back multiple times, but not sure if I’ll be returning. The cafe staff is lovely!

Great hotel. Excellent facilities and attractive deco/interior. Having access to the laundry room was great. Convenient location and very clean. The room was spotless and quiet, the only downside is there is no safe in the room. Enjoyed the breakfast which included both Western and Thai foods and the cappuccinos were great. Staff was friendly and everything went smoothly. They even left extra toilet paper and water on a little table outside our door when we put the “do not disturb” sign on and didn’t need the room made up. Overall great experience. Highly recommend.

The entire room and floor was stinking. The rooms are way too small, to a level you feel claustrophobic inside. The food options are very limited as well. Don't go by the AI generated pictures.

Luar Biasa Cute hotel, good price, close location to old town. Friendly staff. Didn't try the restaurant (found Tent and Pancake house nearby were excellent)

This property requires a deposit, which is not stated anywhere on Expedia. As expected this caused me problems on check in, especially as I was leaving the Island after that stay.
I mentioned to the receptionist( as feedback )to please have management state it clearly on Expedia. From then on she seemed to have an attitude. It just left a bad impression. The male night time staff member at the end my stay was great, so its not a general problem with staff.
The room itself was fine, but the bathroom was acrid with the smell of mold.
I had extremely noisy neighbours throughout the nights I stayed there. The bed itself was really comfortable. The cleaning staff are excellent, friendly and professional. But generally I didn't enjoy my stay and was glad to leave.

We were supposed to stay 5 nights but we only stayed 1. We got to our room and noticed a lot of ants. Went to the front desk and they were very understanding and offered to change our room. Unfortunately the new room had ants and we found a spider in the bed. We then went back to the front desk where they offered us 2 more rooms but ultimately showed us a third. By this point we were grossed out having seen ants in 3 out of the 5 rooms that we left the following day. I will say that the staff were very understanding and helpful during the whole situation.
