Brilliant property, great location, excellent rooms, excellent breakfast, excellent staff. Couldn’t fault

The room was great, the hotel well located, the bathroom was not great. The fact that the bathroom had no doors was uncomfortable and the wc room had wetness on the wall and a smell to mold mixed with vinegar. I cannot understand why it was not better maintained/repaired/designed

Absolutely stunning hotel - beautifully designed with interesting features to observe and enjoy. My family and I were in the two-bed royal apartment, which was spacious, clean and luxurious. The staff were all super-friendly and went over and above to ensure we had a fabulous stay, from booking restaurants to providing information on what else we could do in the city. The breakfast offering was delicious, featuring an array of continental options, as well as cooked options too. Overall, we felt thoroughly spoilt and look forward to returning. Thank you!

Our stay at Torel Palace Porto was absolutely amazing and truly one of the highlights of our trip. We stayed for three nights when we first arrived in Porto, traveled around Portugal, and then returned for our final night — and coming back felt like returning to somewhere special. The hotel itself is stunning, with beautiful design, a great atmosphere, and an excellent location for exploring the city. Everything feels thoughtfully curated, and the overall experience is both luxurious and welcoming. What really sets this hotel apart is the staff. Every single person we interacted with was incredibly helpful, warm, and attentive. They went above and beyond for us — in particular, when I needed to change the timing of my car rental pickup, they handled everything seamlessly, which made a huge difference and took all the stress away. When we returned for our final night, we were welcomed back with complimentary sparkling wine and a personalized “welcome back” note, which was such a thoughtful and memorable touch. It really showed how much they care about their guests and the overall experience they provide. Overall, this is an exceptional hotel with outstanding service. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Porto.

Can’t speak highly enough of the staff. They are incredibly warm, thoughtful, and attentive. Our room was charming, very comfortable, and clean. And the Michelin star restaurant was phenomenal.

From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with a warm welcome and genuine hospitality that immediately makes you feel cared for. The breakfast was outstanding, featuring a delicious cook-to-order menu that made each morning something to look forward to. What truly makes this place special is the staff. Every team member was incredibly kind, attentive, and eager to help with anything I needed, even going out of their way to store my ice pack for me. After starting my trip feeling sick for five days, I’m so glad I chose Torel Palace to finish my trip, it turned what had been a rough start into a fantastic and memorable ending. Highly recommend this beautiful hotel and its exceptional team! ⭐️✨

This was our first visit to Porto. The hotel is in the perfect location. and the staff was wonderful. Rui and Pedro at reception, Andrea at breakfast, and all the others were polite, caring, and so helpful. They arranged dinners, tours, and wine tastings for us. The property is clean and quiet, and beds very comfortable. We will definitely stay there again.
