Charming, well-maintained house just 5 mins from the train station. Breakfast was delicious

1. It is close to the train station and in a quiet and beautiful avenue. 2. The room is very clean! 3. The temperature of the room is very suitable and the bed is very comfortable. 4. The people of the hotel are very nice and provide us great helps, in particularly providing us the needles and threads when we need them urgently with various selections! 5. The breakfast is very delicious! 6. Keeping our luggage in the hotel are very easy! I do like the hospitality of this hotel and also I will be very happy if I would stay in the hotel again in future!

We had a lovely two night stay here. Room 2 had a very comfortable bed, and the roll-top bath in this room was a real treat. Tea and coffee making facilities had everything we needed, the breakfast was sumptuous, with lots to choose from. There is plenty of car-parking right outside the front door, and the whole building is very attractive and in the local Lakeland style. There is a lovely garden to sit in when the weather is fine. The village is easily walkable in 5-10 mins and Bowness is only another mile further on. There are plenty of restaurants and bars to eat in locally. All of the team were lovely, friendly and accommodating. A great place to stay!

The hotel is in an excellent location, close to town, close to Orrest head walk with stunning views and only 30min walk to the lake which saved us parking charges. Plenty of parking at the property, Room was very clean. The breakfast was 10/10. Overall excellent value for money.

What a lovely place to stay. The staff were very friendly and on hand to offer ideas. The breakfast was great, fresh, well prepared and served by either a smile. The room was clean, quiet and came with fresh milk. The accommodation was a little out of the main area but only a few minutes walk. Easy parking. My partner and I will definitely return.

The Hideaway is a family run hotel with fantastic facilities, great meals to select from at breakfast and the personal touch you get from the staff members are second to none. Safe and quiet environment close to the heart of Windermere with free parking, and just a walking distance to the Lake and all the restaurants around. Very happy people, thank you for taking care of us.
