Perfect stay

The property was massive with three hotels on site and could be overwhelming at times. The property is also further away from Cancun city center. Staffs were helpful but not very knowledgeable about the property and at times gave me wrong directions. I had a terrible experience with a taxi driver from the property; the luggage attendant at the front door called the onsite taxi for me to go to the airport and told me the fare was 540 pesos. When I got to the airport the taxi driver wanted 1000 pesos I refused to pay him that amount and ended up paying him 680 pesos because it was getting late for my flight. This taxi driver was very dishonest and should not be allowed on Moon Place property to pickup guests.

My family and I booked this trip just a few days before arriving. After reading more reviews, I was concerned because although the resort is “on the beach,” the beach wasn’t what I had imagined. Thankfully, the amazing service quickly changed our first impression. We arrived 1½ hours before check-in and were welcomed to enjoy lunch at The Manglar. Our room was ready right at 3 PM. The double beds felt smaller than U.S. queen beds, but the pillows, bedding, and cleanliness were excellent. As a family of five, we appreciated that the hotel easily accommodated us with a rollaway bed. The first day, the beach had a lot of sargassum, but by the second day it was much better. The water was warm, calm, and enjoyable. The pools, activities, arcade, and entertainment were fantastic and more than made up for the beach. Our favorite spot was the crepe café—everything was delicious! Carvao was another highlight, with excellent meats and outstanding service. The room was cleaned daily, the minibar restocked, and the staff consistently went above and beyond. We usually stay at Marriott or Hilton properties, but Moon Palace Nizuc has become our favorite Cancun resort. The biggest reason? They comfortably accommodated our family of five in one room, which is rare. Would we stay again? Absolutely. The service, amenities, and family-friendly atmosphere made this a memorable vacation. El personal siempre al pendiente de todo la comida mui rica los cuartos súper limpios siempre estuvieron pendientes de que todo fuera perfecto el mejor hotel en todo a Cancún lo recomiendo al 100% nos sentimos queridos y mima dos por todo el personal desde mesero asta los grandes de oficina el mejor hotel

Love it

We had a great time. The governor suites are in a great convenient location overlooking the pools and we were able to walk to all the amenities within the nizuc without needing to wait for a cart.

Entire experience was wonderful.

It was great experience

The whole vacation was ruined from the beginning. When we checked in I requested a room close to the pool because I can't walk very far I'm almost 80 years old. Well at check in the fellow asked if I would like a upgrade $200.00 and I said that would be $50.00 a day I looked at my son he said ok so I said ok. Gave my credit card and took the upgraded room. Which was totally awesome! Went to lunch and swimming having a good time. Made reservations for dinner i decided to look at my spending for the day in my account. I look at it and there's a $2000.00 charge from the hotel and i said this can't be. So on the way to dinner I stopped at the front desk ask a new guy what is this charge he said it was the upgrade, I said no way I was told $200.00 I kept insisting that's what it was because my son and granddaughter heard the same thing. The fellow at the desk went to talk to the manager and he came back and said the manager said since our room wasn't available we could stay the room for the night with no upcharge.and move you in the morning. I said ok i come back after dinner to talk some more. Well we go to dinner and come back the same guy is there with the new night manager. So I go over it again with the new night manager he had this smirk on his face and said there is nothing he can do. I asked him would you pay for a $500.00 a night upgrade? He Gave me a smartallic remark. He ended up putting me in a room two floors up and I can barely walk up more to say no space.
