It was excellent. We would definitely go back. The staffs were very kind and helpful and friendly. The room was very neat and clean and the breakfast was also good. It was a great stay and my son loved it.

Luar Biasa We stayed at Hotel Sumengen in 1993 and on return to Istanbul in 2026 wanted to go back. We were not disappointed. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The hotel is charming and spotlessly clean. The breakfast has an extensive selection of authentic Turkish foods and the breakfast room has a sea view. The location is still as characterful as we remember it, although there are now more restaurants and small supermarkets. We will stay at Sumengen again next time we visit. Thanks Joe, Can, and the rest of the team!

We loved our time at Sumengen! The staff was wonderful, especially John and Fakir. Very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts were lovely, with lots of choices. And the location was perfect for us. The room was spacious and very comfortable. I highly recommend this small, well-run hotel.

Excellent loc’n - within 5 mins by foot to the Mosques.
The room was spacious and clean.
Note: recommend to take shower during off peak hours if you like hot showers.

The hotel was in a great location, with parking. The room was really big with lots of space but the downside was the paper thin walls - you could literally hear EVERYTHING that was happening in the rooms around you which unfortunately didnt make for a restful stay.

Luar Biasa Had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel very welcome. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The location is perfect, close to main attractions and easy access to transportation. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of options. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the city!
