Great location, that’s the main positive thing for this hotel. Room facilities were lacking - no fridge, kettle, chair or even wardrobe. Oh and I had a double bed with a single duvet - it was very uncomfortable to sleep. Overall it was pleasant enough though. One annoyance is that I paid extra and made sure I had a window in the room, but the room may as well of not had one as my window looked out on to the inside of the hotel restaurant?! I had to keep my curtains closed the entire trip for privacy and I couldn’t tell at all what the weather was doing. Very annoying.

The rooms are small and if you are used to making hot drinks in your room they don’t have the facilities to do this. That said great location for the city centre and the tube. Breakfast really great choice and great quality.

Good staff, Very frendly. Lovely location. Very central and close to the city center. I will definately use Scandic 53 again and will recommend it to others!

Room was clean, but basic. Would have liked a kettle to boil some water for a cuppa. Well located, right in the center of the city.

We had a great stay in this hotel - staff were very friendly and helpful, the choice for breakfast was incredible and the location of the hotel is ideal - a 5 minute walk from the bus station but also just round the corner from the main shopping area and easily walkable to Gamla Stan old town. Would definitely like to visit again. We had a standard room which was compact but comfortable.

Breakfast was great, with both hot and cold items. The front desk staff was great. The room (mine had a double bed) was small, even by European standards; but it was clean. There was no real closet. But it had a bar with hangers and pegs placed throughout the room which were really helpful. The shower was great. If you use a wash cloth (I do), bring one (I did). The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the the train station and there many restaurants and shops close by. It’s about a 15-20 minute walk to the old town sights.
