The Marina Inn at Grande Dunes is beautiful from the outside and the property itself has a lot of potential, but unfortunately the inside was a major disappointment. The rooms and common areas feel very dated, with old furniture and décor that really need to be updated. For the price and the reputation of the property, we expected the inside to be much nicer. Our check-in experience was especially concerning. We were given a room that already had someone staying in it. We opened the door and discovered the guest was actually in the shower. Thankfully, the staff was very nice and handled the situation professionally, but it was definitely an uncomfortable and unsettling experience. We also ordered food at the pool and waited about an hour for it to be served. That was frustrating, especially while trying to enjoy the pool. To their credit, the staff did take the charge off our bill, and we appreciated them making that gesture. Another disappointment was that our room had no refrigerator at all, which seems like a pretty basic amenity for a hotel of this caliber. The staff was friendly and courteous, and we appreciated how they handled the problems we encountered. However, the outdated interior, room mix-up, long wait for food at the pool, and lack of a refrigerator made the stay fall well short of what we expected from the Marina Inn at Grande Dunes. The exterior and grounds are beautiful, but unfortunately, the inside needs a significant update.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We especially enjoyed the Stitch movie night!! My granddaughter had a great time. The tropical drink and food menu were an excellent idea. The only downside was our washing machine didn’t work and had water sitting in it indicating the previous guests staying in the room knew about this and either didn’t say anything or the staff didn’t bother fixing it prior to someone else staying in the room. Why wouldn’t this be a check for housekeeping? The maintenance person checked on it after I called the front desk but couldn’t fix it...didn’t really seem to know what he was doing. However, when I brought it to the attention of the staff after it happened, they reimbursed me for the trouble, which I appreciate. I would highly recommend this is checked by housekeeping at the end of every guest’s stay and that management is made aware for proper handling so future guests don’t have this very inconvenient issue.

The only complaint I had was that my room had mold over the shower. They moved me to another room on the lower level, and my issue was that it smelled outside the room.

Amenities were nice. Room is a little outdated with the furniture but overall it is a good location to stay. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Marina Inn is always clean, the staff is very helpful and the amenities are great.

I stay here several times a year and like the fact the EV chargers are conveniently located on the property. Housekeeping did a great job. The pool was very crowded and lots of kids but we were still able to enjoy.check in is always easy.

It has that home away from home feeling. Alot of space, balconies were relaxing, walking the property was calming, seeing the boats & jet ski go by. Great restaurants on property, and Ruth Chris in walking distance. Close to 2 different Tanger outlets and mall. Plenty of activities within 5 to 10 minutes drive.

Very nice hotel. Room was big and had everything we needed. View of marina was very nice. Very friendly staff. Bus to the beach daily was amazing! 10/10 would stay again!!
