We stayed in the motor inn, which is basically the motel side of the luxury resort. We were given access to the luxury resort facilities like the spa and restaurants (I'm sure the casino too), which we can't complain. As our stay was a last minute thing, we didn't find good options in CBD Hobart nor Battery Point, but this location turned out to be only minutes' drive away, we are very happy we snatched a last minute deal from here. (Our price was so competitive, even comparable to a hostel stay in CBD). Good in-room amenities (particularly excellent hot chocolate mix). Spacious room. I was surprised that there was no elevator (because of elevation gaps for different parts of the building, we were practically on the third floor) , and the parking lot for the motor inn didn't seem particularly well- maintained.

Rooms were very nice and the Longhorn restaurant served beautiful food. We didn't know the kids dance eisteddfod was on the whole time during our stay, so it was a bit busy with children. The tower accommodation gave us beautiful views.

Ok so the tower (more expensive) part of Wrest Point was booked out so we opted for the Wrest Point Motor Inn a short stroll from the main entrance.. so glad we stayed. No elevator to content with or noisy foyer. The room was squeaky clean, super warm and totally comfortable (the beds are King Coil and lush). There was free onsite parking close by and the check in staff were amazing! So friendly and helpful.
