The staff at Maxim Hotel gave us a wonderful welcome. Check in was easy and fast, everyone was very friendly, the location is excellent, and the hotel is beautiful and exceptionally clean.
Unfortunately, our experience changed on the second night when the hotel lost power. There was a complete blackout that appeared to affect only a few businesses on the block. We arrived back around 9:00 PM and decided to watch a game at a nearby bar while waiting for the electricity to return. When we came back around 11:45 PM, there was still no power. There was no air conditioning, no hot water, and, most importantly, no communication from the hotel. A technician told us the power would be restored gradually, but we received no updates.
We ended up checking out around 5:00 AM without ever receiving an explanation, an apology, or any alternative accommodation or assistance. It was disappointing because everything else about the hotel had been excellent.

We were assigned a room on the fourth floor, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. The room had a serious ant problem — there were ants everywhere. We reported the issue and were moved to another room, but the second room had the same problem. As a result, we were unable to sleep comfortably throughout the night.
The front desk staff did try to help and came at midnight with insect spray, which we appreciated, but after spraying the room, we had to sleep with the strong chemical smell, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.
On the positive side, the location is excellent, the Wi-Fi was very good, the AC worked fine, the bathroom was clean (although small), and the hotel was kind enough to hold our luggage, which was very helpful.
However, the condition of the rooms was a major issue and significantly affected our stay. Given the availability of other hotels in the area at similar or lower prices, I would not recommend staying here and would not choose this hotel again.

Air conditioning work well during a very hot period. Room was cleaned everyday though they forgot to replace cups for tea and drinking in bathroom a couple of days.
The blond women who worked the desk was very responsive and helpful. Had user issues with shower and she helped resolved even though I contact others with questions.
Breakfast is a 2 based on 5 rating scale.
Excellent location.

Very clean and very spacious. Honestly didn’t think it would be this good for the price it’s offered and the location. Super easy to go walk around from the hotel and shop. Amazing views and everything was very clean and comfortable.
Would stay again in a heart beat
