Great hotel with a lovely pool area with amazing views. Staff were among the best I’ve ever experienced. Very attentive and helpful. The restaurant food was amazing. Just be mindful the resort is on a hill and there are a lot of steps to get from rooms down to reception, the main pool and the restaurant.

The resort was magical!!! Everything was extremely clean, private just beautiful!! We enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts and ate at the restuarant several nights. The pool, Sauna and cold plunges were divine. We walked to Coconut beach to the left of the hotel for swimming in beautiful water and to the right to downtown to walk on the beach, shop, eat and relax!! Hands down, an amazing place to stay!!

What you see online is what you get in person. It was a beautiful room and property. Staff is very friendly and accommodating (they do struggle a bit speaking English, but they get their job done). It was a bonus that there is a full gym and lap pool that we had entirely to ourselves when we were there!

We absolutely loved our stay at Batu Karang. The room itself was lovely, spacious, well appointed and clean and tidy. The property itself is well positioned at the end of the beach, the pools are great, staff super friendly and accommodating

The hotel and staff are wonderful! Our room was beautiful and the quality of bedding and linens were 5 star. The morning breakfast was plentiful and excellent! The hotel is located on a steep hill but they have golf carts to take you up and down if you don’t care to walk.

Really loved our stay at Batu Kerang. Had a one bed villa - no. 9 - which was spacious, stylish and well laid out. The outside terrace was much bigger than we expected with a day bed, table and chairs and an amazing view. The property is beautifully landscaped and designed on a steep hill, but if we were ever too knackered to make the walk up to our villa, there was always a buggy around to take us there. We enjoyed using the upper pools and gym where there’s so much space. The breakfasts were probably the best we had throughout our trip in Bali and it was nice not to be charged extra for a non standard coffee. We had dinner twice at the poolside restaurant and the food was exceptional. Special mention for service. We had issues with some of the electrics in our villa and this was dealt with promptly. Also, my partner mentioned to them that our arrival had left something to be desired; when we arrived at the top gate, we were told to wait in a small, airless room ( think it was the security hut) until someone arrived to collect us and when we decided to have a little look around the property we were brusquely told not to wander off by a security guard. A day or so later we were presented w a voucher for two free cocktails and told that they appreciated being told as that way they could try and improve this for future guests. That’s how you do service.

The views from the hotel are lovely and the staff were extremely kind, but I was a bit disappointed with this place, especially for the price that we paid. Be aware that the upper area where vehicles do pickup/drop off is currently under construction and hard to access/navigate. They had wheelbarrows, motorbikes, and rebar all over the place - we had to squeeze past it, which was hard to do with suitcases. Manageable but I wouldn't feel comfortable doing so with elderly or children. They do have golf carts to take you up and down the resort which is very helpful as there are many stairs and their restaurant food and drinks are really delicious. The room though was where we were disappointed. The "A/C" was not sufficient, leading to the room being extremely hot and stuffy. The bathroom was half indoor/outdoors which in theory was adorable but our room was near the stairs from another suite. I'm not sure if anyone could see in but I could see workers going up and down the stairs multiple times while I was going the bathroom and using the shower, which left me feeling exposed. The bed only had 1 bedside table and plugins on the 1 end of the bed. They also did not have an instruction guide in the room - would've been nice to have instructions on how to use the toilet bidet, when breakfast started/ended, and a few other details. Lastly, be aware that something is being built next door - it slightly ruined the vibe to sit in our private pool and hear construction noise.
