I can’t say enough good things about this place. They gave us a deluxe suite with beautiful intricate detailed woodwork along with modern amenities. Staff was extremely courteous and friendly. The pictures on the Internet are very good, but no pictures are able to capture the actual beauty or atmosphere when you are really there inside the place. Absolutely amazing..

Great staff, run down hotel

Great location, staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was very sparse in the area of amenities and comfort. Breakfast was very good but the room was very basic and slightly below my expectations.

Very helpful and friendly staff

This property is a resort - we didn't participate in many of the amenities, but ate at the restaurant and enjoyed many other aspects of the hotel. This is Zermatt - an incredible place if you've never been. Hotel Alex Resort is the closest to the banhof and we were greeted at the base of the resort by a wonderful genteleman who took all of our baggage (a lot) which allowed us to check in with comfort and ease. And what a wonderful check-in experience by Nunja, a Croatian who spoke impeccable English and reviewed all the amenities with us and escorted us to our room! We were upgraded and appreciated the gesture. Our room was amazing with balcony and deluxe amenities. You cannot beat the location and hospitality! Breakfast was as amazing as you can imagine, and offered us a fueling before heading out each day to the wonderful Zermatt environs. During our visit there was a music festival (Zermatt Unplugged) which brought many to the village for this specific reason. The resort had concerts daily on the lovely veranda with service for drinks and food. In the evening, the lounge and lobby area were converted to a concert venue for a blues band, which drew a considerable crowd and massive energy - WONDERFUL. It enabled us to meet locals and mingle with impressive people all here for the same thing. This is a great spot for your Zermatt excursion and should absolutely be considered in your upcoming vacation or holiday - you will NOT be disappointed.
