Cold showers, tired rooms

Great location if going to Paddington station.

The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean and well maintained. I liked the uniqueness of the property. The bathroom was very clean, however the shower door did not keep water from leaking on the floor. Also the tub was very deep and it was not the easiest to get out of for seniors. There were a lot of options for breakfast, both hot and cold.

There is much to like about this hotel, primarily the location. But there are many things not to like. So many of the rooms were terribly small or very oddly laid out. We looked at four rooms before finding one that was OK. ( The staff was very accommodating in allowing us to check on many rooms). There is no place to put your clothes away. That this hotel is billed as 4 stars is quite misleading. The price did not match the value.

The staff are very welcoming and helpful! The location is perfect, close to everything and to the bus/subway station - commuting was super easy and convenient!

Air conditioning only heated the room more.

I just stayed here for a work trip. I picked it for the location and reasonable price. There is construction going on the outside of the building, which is a problem because there is scaffolding right outside of the windows which isn’t ideal. The biggest problem came when the window wouldn’t lock and the small piece of wood that they call a safety latch was broken. I told them about this in the morning, I left for the day expecting it to have been fixed when I got back and when I returned at 10pm at night, nothing had been done. They then told me they had no other rooms and no maintenance on staff. I asked if they could just place a nail in the wood piece to fix the safety latch which the manager said no because it would “damage the building”. I told them I was uncomfortable without a secured window and scaffolding outside of the window allowing outsiders to have access to the room. They said I could just live with it or they would refund me and I could go find a new hotel (at 10:30 at night). They handled the situation so poorly, and so unprofessionally. On top of that, I had been in two rooms there and both rooms had horrible showers. Barely any water coming from the shower head and it never got hot (just warm) so I was taking cold long showers due to the poor water pressure. While the location is great, I would never stay here again. If it wasn’t 10pm at night the first night I would have left immediately.

Clean room and friendly staff I was unwell so wasn’t able to attend but my partner went with his mum instead and they was happy to change this

Great location Unfortunately the room we stayed in number 508 was very noisy with either an air con unit outside or a generator outside the window The shower also lacked any power

Staff were jolly & helpful, breakfast was good with lots of choice. Room was clean & tidy with good amenities.
