I rarely leave negative reviews, but this stay was disappointing from beginning to end. The problems started before I even arrived. There was a major festival with road closures around the hotel, yet no one informed us in advance. We arrived with luggage only to find ourselves stranded in large crowds, with no guidance on how to access the property. A simple email or text would have completely avoided this. After checking in, I mentioned to the staff that better communication would have gone a long way. Unfortunately, the communication issues continued. The next morning, I was awakened very early by loud construction immediately next to my room. Once again, there had been no warning. For a hotel charging premium rates, this is unacceptable. The final straw came on the second night when the air conditioning stopped working. At around 2:00 a.m., I had to pack all my belongings and move rooms. What was presented as an “upgrade” turned out to be an even noisier room, making it nearly impossible to get a good night’s sleep. The hotel offered only a small credit for the inconvenience, but there was little effort to truly recover the experience or make things right. For the prices this property charges, guests should expect proactive communication, a quiet room, and everything to function properly. Instead, we experienced poor communication, construction noise, and a room change in the middle of the night. If you want to enjoy a vacation, I would stay away from this place!

The surrounding area is extremely noisy. Bring earplugs and an eyemask.

The room is small, with the bathroom beibg extremely small. Two people cannot fit in the bathroom. The room looks fabulous but is not very functional. Poor lighting, not enough clothes hangers (although they did bring more when we called), the window shutter does not fully close so you will be waking up early! Overall, the personel were very nice and helpful, the hotel is beautiful and the rooms look great - they are just not very functional. Tiny closet as well. No drawers.

El hotel está bien situado. Nuestro cuarto muy pequeño, incómodo y sin ningún detalle. Parecía cuarto de hostal. Creo que asumir que por ser un hotel”boutique” los cuartos pueden tener lo mínimo, no esta bien. El precio es muy alto, para lo que se recibe.

Great hotel in a great area! The room was lovely and common areas (library, pool, bar) were really nice to use! Only thing is you can hear the other rooms and those in the hallway if you are sensitive to sounds. Would recommend anyone to stay! The staff were lovely

Everything was perfect! Location, rooms, staff and the guacamole and cocktails! Helpful restaurant tips. Loved it all.

The staff really made the stay, all were genuine friendly and attentive. The room felt really special, the design details were considered and our room in particular felt somewhere cozy to retreat to from the bustle of the street. The swimming pool was being renovated which was a shame as it would have been nice to have a facility to relax with but overall we really enjoyed our time here - the stay was our favourite of our entire trip.
