So expensive. The hotel across the street was the same price and much nicer amenities

Such a great space!! The sleeping loft could have used a curtain to help block out the sunlight but other than that it was a great space! Loved the waterfall behind the house and easy drive to the glacier lagoon.

BED BUGS! That s all I should have to say about this properly! My son woke to being bitten and killed 3 bugs in his bed and had to sleep on the couch with no pillow or blanket for fear of these bugs being in all the bedding. He told us in the morning and we found and took pictures and videos of 3 more that were clearly by researching internet/AI identified as bed bugs. DISGUSTING We were checking out anyway for the trip but I immediately called the check in guest services to tell them and they would come out to look and take care of the bugs (which we know is VERY HARD to rid them). I told them this was not acceptable conditions for a VERY expensive night stay and now our suitcases could bring them home as well. He told me to call Expedia for a refund…. Well Expedia says they refuse now to even give a partial refund and they not have to. How disgusting and worst fear as we could bring them now to our home and then just be dismissed which tells me they are not taking it seriously and will just put another family in there again night after night. STAY AWAY!!!! Check-in was also terrible as the directions to guesthouse were incorrect. Another couple after us had the same problem and we were all driving in circles trying to find the check in. If they would offer a refund I would feel better that they plan to treat the bugs, but clearly they are IGNORING THE ISSUE. Pics and video clearly show we are in the cottage and where bed is.

Pictures felt misleading to what we actually walked into. Generally the cottage felt unclean. Bedding and sofa bed was not clean. All guests left with rashes and bumps on the skin. We suspect there was a lot of bugs in the name of lusmy that caused the allergies. The toilets didnt have a lock and didnt have any bodywash or shampoo. No curtains on doors to block the light at night.

The place to check-in was down the road a couple of miles and on the other side of the road and back a ways to a hotel/ restaurant that they owned! Everything was fine once we found the place! There were no black out blinds anywhere in the cottage and for a June stay it was very bright all night! The place is a little bit small no place for luggage but each of the two downstairs bedrooms had their own bathroom!

Clean cabin in a gorgeous location. We enjoyed the waterfall view in the back. Kitchen was equipped and having two bathrooms was convenient. Location came with trade offs as it was close to the ice lagoon but far from amenities without driving.

We are family of 4, and wanted to stay near Diamond beach and the glacial lagoon. This property is 10 min drive away. Spacious functional stand-alone house with separate bedroom, living room and kitchen. Cute and unique. Quiet and nice surrounding with waterfall walking distance. Received two instructions to checked-in, one to drive 3km away to get code, and another to checked in directly using given code. Wanted to make sure, hence drove the distance to get the code, turned out the same. Some heating radiators, as well as hair dryer not working well. No extra rubbish disposal bag. No washing machine nor dish washer. No slippers. No shampoo nor conditioners. Small and cold toilet and shower area. Not cheap either. Use this as place to stay the night, if necessary.

PERFECT get-away for our first family vacation to Iceland. The views from our adorable cabin were amazing, and the staff was helpful and welcoming. Highly recommend!

There was a long line at check-in so we had to wait about 10 minutes and then drive to our room which was only a few minutes away. The Wi-Fi wasn’t working when we first got there, but they sent someone over to check it out and the problem was fixed within the hour. We were able to see the northern lights from the front yard and we really enjoyed the big front porch. There were also waterfalls right in our backyard.

The room unfortunately had bed bugs. It was our first night in Iceland and thankfully we were only 1 night at the property. In addition 1 of 2 heaters in the living room was not working and so it was colder than it needed to be. Communication with the host was poor - we reached out a number of times on the bed bug issue but got no response. Am just glad that the stay was only one night and didn’t ruin the rest of our vacation
