I chose this hotel for its excellent location and paid a premium expecting a comfortable 4-star stay. The location is genuinely very good and the views are beautiful, but the overall experience was disappointing. The biggest issue was the construction noise outside. It started early in the morning and was so loud that it felt like staying next to a construction site. Guests should be told about this before booking. Breakfast was also underwhelming. The selection was limited, and one member of staff made us feel rushed. I booked partly to enjoy breakfast with the Duomo view, but instead I felt discouraged from sitting there and enjoying it. The shower room was another problem. It did not feel practical or comfortable for a hotel at this price point, and it really affected the overall impression of the room. Communication could be better too. As Expedia Elite members, we were given the option to request late check-out, but when I asked reception, I was told it was absolutely not possible. I understand this may be subject to availability, but the response felt dismissive. To be fair, some staff were lovely. One rooftop staff member kindly suggested places for night photos, which we appreciated. Most reception staff were polite, but one receptionist’s attitude was particularly unpleasant. The free minibar was a nice touch. This hotel has great potential because of its location, but the service and management details need improvement.

Good location for train traveler .

The location could not be more central to the major sights of Bologna. The property is extremely well maintained and appointed. The staff is very helpful and attentive. I would certainly recommend the property. For the drawbacks. Driving to and from the hotel is somewhat of a challenge, but the hotel makes it as easy as possible to navigate. The portico and street just outside the original main entrance needs to be cleaned and maintained.

Room was very warm, AC barely works, downstairs lobby is only place where it is cool. Restaurant and bar staff are very unfriendly and will not let you go on the rooftop unless you have a reservation not even to look even tho there will be no one there.

Excellent breakfast, friendly and accommodating staff. This will be the hotel that we will continue to stay at every time we go to Florence. Location was perfect. Everything you need is in reach of 10 minutes.

This is a beautiful property with an amazing view of the city. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Air conditioning, elevator and close to the train station were just a few of the benefits. Plus, everything was so walkable in the city from this location.
