I booked the room right as we were sitting in the plane and was about to take off for a 1 night stop in Montreal. Sadly my flight had technical issues, was cancelled and we was redirected through another city. I tried to cancel the reservation less than 2 hours after booking it. The agency said I had to call the hotel, the hotel said I had to call the agency. This was a business trip, I'm not the one paying, I use Orbitz because I find it simpler than other interfaces. However Orbitz online help is basically inexistant and both entities (Orbitz and hotel) redirecting to each other is not what I call service ... I will probably change the way I reserve things in the future, use a real agency. Travellers advice, keep in mind most reservation online platforms are the same until you run into an issue. That's when you might want service!
