Room was clean, staff members were helpful, I liked my stay there

There was a business partner (협력 업체) that was cleaning her car at the hotel, with all 4 doors open. It was a grey SUV. She would not let me pass through to the lobby, I had 3 heavy backpacks all falling off my shoulder, and I had just driven 400km's from Seoul. I also had a carrier that I was pulling along. When I looked at her as if I wanted to pass, she still would not close her doors and let me pass. I had to walk around to the left side of the building to actually walk into the lobby. She was old enough to have a highschool student as a child, so I was shocked she had no clue, manners, class, or consideration. I think her company is a bad example of picking the wrong business partner, because she was more determined to clean her car than to let the hotel guest pass. I could not see the ocean at all. I forgot that I reserved the ocean view, I think the staff did not care that I got the correct room? The room was clean but had a wet rag (or wet dog) smell. I'm not sure if it was due to humidity or the cleaning chemicals, but it was not pleasant, and it was continuous.

The bathroom was cleaned in really bad way:( The location is amazing though - walkable distance to the beach and to the bus stop.

I like that Hotel Hongdan was so close to the beach and was within walking distance of transport options. It was a nice and quiet hotel with friendly staff. The style is quite modern but I still managed to find my room cosy. I’d stay there again!

Great and close to beach and restaurants

Overall, this was the perfect little weekend getaway hotel! It was very clean, easy to get to and the bathroom was great. Definitely recommend if you're looking for an easy, western style hotel.
