The location was very nice. The staff were lovely & helpful. The food was very well presented.. very good choice , could of been warmer!. .unfortunately our room
No 9...was clean but over the kitchen area. There was a door banging quite often early morning, and up to 10pm or so. Also a constant extractor was noisy too. Our room needed a refresh.
Plenty of parking.

Love this hotel. Great for parking, staff very professional but engaging and genuine. Room very clean and plenty room. Our room was a garden room. If the weather had been kind to us we would have sat out on our patio. Gardens are well maintained and pretty. Bus stop nearby to get easily into Ambleside. Breakfast was good and plenty choice. Our stay was sooo nice booked again for this August. ❤️

Very welcoming staff . Enjoyed an evening meal on our 1 night stay on our journey to Scotland. Food was very impressive and good quality for price. Excellent bedroom with plenty of space and first class facilities, looks like recently refurbished to high standard. Reception area and restaurant decor slightly let down the quality of the rooms. Would suggest an upgrade to reception decor as this is the first impression of the hotel. Overall a good stay with lots of positives, set in beautiful grounds and an ideal location for accessing the lake district’s attractions.

Very attentive staff

Was room was great, the staff were friendly and welcoming, especially as we had our small dog with us and the food was delicious.
The surrounding grounds were beautifully kept too with a good amount of attention to detail.
Parking was good too, especially as I had a big trailer with me.
