Room was clean when we arrived. Bed was comfortable. We were given the family apartment which had a bunk bed in the bedroom in addition to the queen which made it crowded. living area was comfortable and location was convenient to grocery, restaurants and shopping. Check in is not at the apartment which was unexpected. Apartment location is its best feature.

The main door into the apartments was broken, so it couldn’t be locked. This meant that anyone could come into the foyer and stairwell from off the street. This made us feel uncomfortable! The carpet in the foyer and stairwells was filthy, stained and in one part like a dog had scratched to threadbare. The internal walls were not sound proof so you could hear conversations along with other activities from the room next door. One of our party of 5 had a room that was musty from a rock wall outside her room that was constantly wet. We opted not to send any more time than was necessary in the rooms All in all you get what you pay for I guess! And it did put Inverness in a negative light for us which was a shame!

One star is high. I have stayed in 1,000 hotels and this was easily the worst I have ever been in. Check in is two blocks away at another hotel. The carpet and walls in the Waverly are ripped and dirty. Was a large shredded spot in the hallway carpet. The room was not even close to the one shown on Hotels.com. Bed was hard and not comfortable. Bathroom….was very small. Shower smaller than a phone booth not kidding and the shower hose to the shower head leaked so the water pressure was minimal. Would NEVER recommend it or stay there. I have never left a hotel to stay in another but we looked at leaving but there was no where with vacancies near by and we only were there one night so we roughed it out.

I would not recommend staying at this hotel in Inverness. The room had a strong mouldy smell and was not properly cleaned upon arrival. The bathroom was dirty, the sink overflowed whenever the tap was turned on, and the toilet made very loud noises for a long time after flushing. There was also a constant dripping sound throughout the night that made it very difficult to sleep. To make matters worse, the fire alarm went off at 5am because someone was taking a shower, which was extremely disruptive. We also found multiple hairs on the bed, and overall the apartment did not feel clean or well maintained. We booked a deluxe room with a city view, but what we received was completely different from what was advertised online. The hallway carpets were ripped up, and the apartments themselves were located down the street from the main check-in area, which was unexpected. Unfortunately, the online photos did not accurately represent the accommodation, and the whole experience was a major disappointment.

Location is great. While apt looks fairly recently renovated, housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired. The bathroom fan was broken; the mold and cigarette smoke smell was strong. The bedroom floor was covered with hair. There was no soap in any of three dispensers. Only one kitchen chair. While maintenance was responsive, they could not replace the fan during our stay. The manager did not respond to my text or email.

A hidden gem. Parking was an issue but a perfect spot for everything we wanted to do

Room and apartment ok but lots of noise on street and felt cleanliness could be better. Also you have to walk round the corner to check in and get the key which is difficult to operate for the front door

The sheets were dirty with hair and dander, there was mold in the shower, and the room stunk of cigarettes. It was not the room I booked online and was not even close. The bathroom was tiny with the space between the wall and the shower not being large enough for an average sized mans shoulder width. We left a day early from Inverness it was so bad. Very deceptive pictures online
