The staff was very friendly and answered many questions about the hotel and Ghent. They provided a great guide with a map of Ghent - we loved it as it had a summary of each site we visited. There was complimentary water provided.
The room was very clean and spacious. The bed was super comfortable.
The breakfast was delicious. There was a variety of fruits, cold cuts, cheese, pastries and more. They would make you a hot dish from their menu that is included (fried eggs, bacon, potatoes, sausages, etc.)
It was a convenient location close to a train station, trams, laundromat, restaurants, and grocery stores.

Room was spacious and very clean. Lots of natural light. Convenient location next to the train station. Safe and quiet area.good food options nearby or a 20-30 minute walk to the central area.

Quiet and comfortable stay with all the amenities including a bottle of water for each guest. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a hotel near the train station to explore Ghent and nearby cities such as Bruges.

Great staff at reception staff, teeny tiny elevator and stairs are even smaller and quite dark. Firm bed, large room with a view of the back neighborhood. Bathroom ok - shower in the tub thin towels, no magnifying mirror. Bottled water ( refillable) available at no charge from reception. Super close to train station!

We had a fabulous stay at the Carlton Hotel. The staff and the owner were friendly, easy going and very helpful. The room was spacious and the breakfasts were a delight. We'd have no hesitation going back to the Carlton if the opportunity arose.
