Nice hotel, great location and helpful staff. However, at over $500 per night, our room was almost uninhabitable during the heat wave with no air conditioning. Having said that, we realize that there is a difference between North American and European standards, so just be aware at booking.

We stayed during the heat wave and were on the 3rd floor with garden view. There was a small fan in the room but there is no air con and you could feel the heat increase as you got up the stairs to the 3rd floor. The shower over the bath was not user friendly, the shower hose was attached to the wall so made it difficult to move the head to make washing hair easier. The water also ran off the rim of the bath straight onto the floor which was only a small space so got clean clothes wet. The shower curtain was useless. The hair dryer supplied wasn't very good for long/thick hair so would bring your own. The food at breakfast time was good, plenty of choices and the food was well cooked and kept warm. The staff we spoke to were all friendly and welcoming and they phoned for a taxi for us when we enquired about where was the best place to go to get a taxi from. The hotels in a good location with a variety of shops near by with restaurants and fast food chains. Would consider staying again if needed but would be put of a summer months stay due to lack of air flow and air con.

No AC in the middle of a heat wave. A toilet that took 3 or 4 attempts to flush, and one morning it wouldn’t at all. Had to get maintenance.

Loved our stay! The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly (shout out to Siobhan at the front desk!). We opted for the included breakfast which was delicious (eggs, bacon, sausage, croissants, fruit, beans, coffee, tea, juice). The beds were very comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. We did travel during the heatwave and the lack of air conditioning in the room was tough to sleep in but the provided fan and requested fridge in the room helped us cool down. The location is excellent and easily accessible via walking and transit. Our room faced the road and while there was some noise from the windows being open, it wasn’t anything unusual for us coming from another major city (except for when England won one of their World Cup games - that was loud and exciting!). We would definitely stay here again when we return to London in the future!

It was suffocating with no AC

Nice location. Great staff. Ken was very helpful when I was checking in. I feel like the amenities weren’t well explained so I missed things and found out later. Also it was really hot and I had a small fan only to keep me cool. I tried to open the windows but being on a busy street, it allowed the noise to come in so was tricky situation at night. But I would stay here again. Good price and convenient for a three night stay. Lots of food options and easy transport options nearby. There was always a staff at the front desk.

The location of this hotel is fabulous. I liked the effort they have made to be eco friendly, and the option of getting a room with a single bed is very helpful for solo travelers.

Check in and check out very efficient. great location in Bloomsbury, walking distance to 2 Tube stations. Front desk staff very helpful.

Nice room, hotel well situated, staff are all lovely.

Nice room but I stayed during a heatwave and it was the hottest room i have ever slept in. There was a small fan available but I couldn't plug it in anywhere other than the desk, which wasn't that close to the bed. I would suggest buying some bigger/better fans with longer leads. You also can't open the windows very far, so no air in that way. Did not sleep well at all sadly, it felt like sleeping in an oven.
