The location is nice and convenient, but other than that, it’s a bit of a tough stay. I was disappointed because online the room that I thought I would get looked nothing like the room I got, which seemed sneaky on their part. The rooms are a little small and have a strange odor to them. The beds and pillows are flat and not very comfortable, with stains on the curtains. The walls are very thin so you can hear talking from the outside and banging from the neighboring rooms, which may be a problem for light sleepers. There are only two showers and the showers and toilets are combined into one room which is a little inconvenient for other travelers who need to use them. Towels aren’t provided so you should prepare your own towel or rent one. You need to go outside and down two floors to get to the common area which is a little inconvenient. Overall, not a bad place to say especially since it’s in a good location, but might be worth your money to stay at a nicer place.

TERRIBLE PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE! 1. place has bed bugs(Confirmed)! 2. Hygiene atrocious. 3. Non refundable for a reason! 4. The smelliest and dirtiest bedrooms and mattresses I’ve ever seen. I would never want to hurt someone’s business but without a doubt this was the worst place I’ve ever stayed in my life and I have traveled to over 20 countries and stayed in several hostels. To the owner: Please do something about this. It’s a nice area near the main station and near historical sites. People should not have their experiences ruined because of this.

Good location with lots of options for food but the common room smells like mold and there are cockroaches flying around. It's an older building with very limited space. This place definitely needs some improvement in hygiene manner. Will not stay there again.

The location is great; Close to Ximen station and so many places to eat nearby. Also, staff is helpful. They are not necessarily friendly but definitely helpful. Other than the location and the staff, everything else is "you get what you pay for." The room is small and filthy. We had the room and the bathroom to ourselves (4 people), yet it was still too small. We could barely open one luggage on the floor. Also, no food in the room, only in the basement common area. Lastly, you have to either rent or buy the towel. And you can only return the rental after 10am so if you have an early morning flight then you have to return the towel the night before by 11pm to receive your deposit back. I wouldn't stay at this place again whether I come back alone or with family or friends. But if you're a budget traveler and just need a place to crash, then this would be cheap option.

Good for the location but the bathroom was very dirty, i requested if someone can clean the moldy wall of the shower they said yes but no one came and clean it. The bathroom should be clean and taken care of given they have 6 people that uses it.

It is not a hotel. One room with 8 bunkers. No privacy. Noisy. I was charged for over 100 Canadian dollars for that.

Fun Inn Taipei Hostel is located in only a 5-minute walk from MRT Beimen Station. It offers simple and affordable accommodation with free WiFi access. It takes an 7-minute for guests to walk to MRT Ximen Station and Ximending shopping area. From Taipei Main Station, a terminal of Taipei Metro, Taoyuan Airport Metro, bus, train and high speed rail, guests can walk to Fun Inn Taipei Hostel in just 10 minutes. The hostel is a 20-minute drive from Taipei Songshan Airport, while Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport is a 40-minute drive away. Dormitories for 4 to 12 persons and female dormitories are offered. Sheets and beddings, lockers, private curtains around the bed are provided. Bathroom and toilet are inside the room but shared with other guests. At Fun Inn Taipei you will find a shared kitchen and a shared lounge. Luggage storage is possible at the front desk. There are also a wash machine and dryer. A wide number of local dinning options are offered in the near surroundings.
