The room and property were BEAUTIFUL! The problem is the sargassum algae completely overtook the beach. I understand it’s a natural occurrence but it seems like it was completely out of control. We had seen other property and the algae was cleaned up in piles and didn’t stink as bad. After we mentioned it they had one person shoveling it up. We specifically booked a beach front room and paid extra. It physically made me sick smelling what came through the room at night we had to downgrade rooms with no compensation.

It was such a lovely place to stay! Beautiful property, and very close to quenita avenue, where all the action is for tourists.

This is a boutique hotel right on the water with beautiful patios and rooms! We had the penthouse on the water and could see Cozumel lit up at night. The property was so clean and very well maintained. The rooms are very spacious and have kitchenettes with everything you need to cook. The staff is so attentive and humble and very kind. They met our every need and request quickly and with no problems at all. The location is perfect, and transportation was easy to access. There was a lot of Sargassum that smelled pretty bad, but of course, that was outside of the hotel’s control. Other guests we met said their hotels also have an overload of it. I would absolutely stay here again! Beautiful, quiet, and very private hotel.

My stay at Playa Palms Beach Hotel was wonderful. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and let me check in early. Alfredo checked me in and was extremely kind, giving me recommendations for food and helping me get acquainted with the area. The room and patio was comfortable and clean, housekeeping left adorable towel animals. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, cutlery, coffee mugs, etc. I enjoyed the pool, and the areas for washing sand off were extremely useful as the beaches in Playa I visited didn't have them. I found the overall atmosphere very calming, as the hotel was mostly quiet, with my only complaint being the construction noises during the day sometimes.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was very clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any questions. The air conditioning worked great and kept the room cool throughout our stay. The property was peaceful, well cared for, and conveniently located. We truly enjoyed our visit and would gladly stay here again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable getaway! 🌴☀️😊

Perfect location, walking distance to restaurants, shopping, clubs. But it is very quiet once you enter the hotel. I did not use the pool. Rooms are clean and match the pictures shown on the site. Great service!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It’s within walking distance of both the beach and Calle 5ta, where all the action is in Playa del Carmen. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. This is more of a boutique-style hotel. While it is beachfront, there isn’t direct beach access for swimming. One thing I especially appreciated was the nighttime security, which made me feel safe and comfortable. We would definitely return and stay here again.

Nice place, conveniently located. The seaweed was awful so everything smelled really bad but that is not the hotels fault.
