Staff was good,

Unique and great location.

I thoughly enjoyed my stay. Beautiful hotel, convenient location. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Very clean and the carriage house is beautiful. Definitely would recommend

The staffwere very friendly and extremely accommodating. The tv didn’t work and there were some old nails sticking up through the carpet where the carpet meets the bathroom. It was actually fairly quiet despite how close to bourbon street the hotel is.

The room had roaches and my car was hit in the valet parking garbage

Location of this hotel is amazing, the staff was amazing, the only drawback I have to giving them a 5 star review is that everything is super old and needs some renovations. The elevator feels like it’s going to break down every time you ride in it, and we actually had to be moved to a new room because our AC stopped working. However, the friendliness of the staff more than made up for their shortcomings. They were so accommodating, sweet and helpful. I would stay here again and just pray that my AC works the first time, lol.

Our room was across the street from main hotel and was upstairs with no elevator. My 84 yo husband had a hard time with the stairs. We did not know this was the arrangement. Also the bathtub / shower was very high to step up into. For two older people this was difficult. Would not recommend for older travelers.

When we checked in, they automatically put a $200 charge on my debit card. Now, mind you, not a hold like most hotels, but took it out of my account and said they would replace it if we didn't tear anything up. Our first room was so awful we refused to stay in it. The shower wouldn't work, everything was either broken or dirty or dingy and the tv was like something from 1997. So, we called the front desk and were promised a manager. One never called. We then went to the front desk and told her we wouldn't stay there. She offered us a new room after we threatened to cancel/contact Expedia. Good news: It was first floor and an upgraded cottage. The amenities were much better and it was cleaner and nicer, BUT BAD NEWS: the shower only had hot water, one sink stopper was missing, we had no soap or TP until we went to the front desk, the tv would just freeze/stop working, the room phone didn't work (had to walk to front desk for every problem) and to finish it off, the AC went out in 95 degree heat. The maintenance guy (he was nice) said he would have to tear it all apart and couldn't do anything right then. He said he would talk to the front desk about switching rooms again (it was 11 pm and we had a 7 am flight) but when he came back he just had a fan. The location was very good, but we can't recommend this hotel. We were very disappointed all around. I will be contacting Expedia about a refund We would like the say that the valet attendant (Black gentlemen) was amazing.
