Jó We booked the room with the free breakfast. Breakfast was descent, not 5 star quality, obviously. There was unfourtunatly a protest right outside the hotel during our stay. Some of the staff were protesting increased wages. Thankfully our room was on the opposite side of the entrance so we couldnt hear the noise while in the room. The a.c worked well, besides the slight humming from the unit. If you are in NY for a brief stay, I would recommend this hotel.

The room maintenance and breakfast were excellent. The only downside was the strike, which was a bit disturbing during our stay.

Unfortunately stay was during hotel workers picketing and striking outside the hotel screaming, banging drums, using cowbells and making noise. It was a little unsettling and uncomfortable.

Jó Staff were picketing in front of the building making it very difficult to access the property and a very high level of noise in the lobby area. Also due to this valet parking was suspended so we got a parking ticket from the city and had to park several blocks away and walk. The room was clean but very small for 3 people.

I am satisfied with our 3 day stay but disappointed with our breakfast. It was same breakfast served the 3 days that we stay there. Otherwise, it was satisfactory

Our very first trip to New York - planned over 6 months in advance - when we arrive, there was a picket line out front of the hotel. According to what I understand, it was the cleaning staff?? they are union employees. They were not quietly marching in circles just picketing, they had bullhorns, police sirens, pot and pans that they were banging with a wooden spoon, etc... and they were screaming at us "shame"... telling us we did not have to stay there. Lets just say it was overwhelming for our 4 night stay. I feel like the hotel could have let us know in advance (as it had been going on over a week prior) - but no attempt was made to inform us prior to arrival. If we were notified, we could have changed locations. Very upset with the fact that this was not handled correctly.
