Visited during rainy season and we were wet constantly…it didn’t stop us from enjoying the on-site hot springs, pools, and waterslides.

This property is beautiful! The rooms are giant! We have a perfect view of Arenal. The hot tubs were just what we needed after a long week of adventures. It was very relaxing. Although we didn’t have any small children with us, there were many there but it never felt like it because there are so many pools and hideaways. Great for family or couples.

So much to love here! The breakfast was amazing with so many options for all members of our party, the grounds were gorgeous, the hot springs made for perfect evening entertainment and the wildlife around the property was so much fun to see! Only need to know is that the rooms are a little older- they were clean though and worked fine for us! Overall a solid value!!

The entire resort was phenomenal. The rooms were clean and spacious, the restaurants were fantastic, and the pools were relaxing. Each pool has a different temperature and you can find one that fits your needs. The resort had a great view of the volcano as well. We stayed here the last 3 days and it was the perfect end to our trip.

We love coming to Las Lagos! Every detail from the spacious rooms, to the array of hot springs, to the spa, to the restaurant is top of the line. The breakfast buffet is a feast with a delightful selection of fruit, great coffee and pretty much anything your heart could desire for breakfast! You have to try the mint lemonade!

MOLDY! Room was sooooo bad! Room 212 is bad! -Room smelled so bad! black mold on walls that had been painted over. Mold under beds. Mold on/ behind picture frames- We live in the rainforest so we fully understand and are used to mold. We all had allergic reactions to the mold. Asked for a different room but they were all booked. The reason this room had mold was because the tiny windows were broken, also no screen on the one tiny window that did work. No fan in room. They NEED fans in the rooms, need better airflow options and maybe screen doors. So we had to leave both doors wide open -luckily not too many bugs so we could air it all out. -Rooms are severely aged and lots of broken stuff-no door knob-hot water worked only sometimes- lighting is horrendous in room-very aged furniture-door lock broke on us- no towels available for us at pool. Pool was busyyyyy-Tiles in bathrooms are sooooo slippery. My daughter fell 2x. I fell 1x even with non slip mats and being super careful and of course I just had ACL surgery and so my knee was all swollen for 2 days after my fall I just hope it didn’t do permanent damage :/ -the good-beautiful resort! Good food! Good drinks! A++++ , clean linens, cleaners did as good as they could. So good job cleaners! Maintenance man is very kind! Loved all the coatis too!

This place felt luxurious while being surrounded by natural beauty. The property was gorgeous. It was a perfect mix of hot springs and pools to keep things lively. The breakfast spread had a good variety for kids and adults. The gift shop was surprisingly well priced if you're looking to shop for a few souvenirs. The seafood pizza was one of our favorites at the bar, so much so that we ended up ordering it everyday. The on property ziplining tour was top notch, and having it on-site made planning so easy. We were concerned our younger son (age 7) would not be able to go due to his weight but there were no issues and he was able to zipline by himself. The zipline was my kids favorite part of the trip, especially with a bonus Tarzan swing at the end. The tour guides were safe, friendly, and took the time to point out different wildlife along the way - birds, a sloth, and a monkey sitting on a tree top. The staff was friendly and welcoming and gave great ideas about how to make our trip extra special. The property was located close to the waterfall and volcano. We went during low rainy season, but there was plenty of sun and fun, and it didn't impede on our trip. On our very last morning, we got lucky and saw the peak of the volcano right outside of the restaurant after breakfast. There is even a short nature trail on property with some birds and turtles. Room size was decent, but didn't spend too much time there. AC wasn't great, but everything else made up for it.
