We had a lovely stay at the chequers Inn, Rookley. The staff were great, couldn't do enough for us.

Excellent food if a little pricy.
Our standard room was a tad difficult to manoeuvre in … getting round the bed was a sideways shuffle!

Excellent stay at the Chequers Inn again for a week for the New Year. Beautiful room, good food, clean, lovely staff - shout out to Angela who went above & beyond for us!
Lovely compassionate email sent to us following the very sad death of my Dad whilst we were away.
Only downside - the bar closed at 10:30pm on New Years Eve!
We will definitely return.

The pub is in a beautiful part of the IW with lovely countryside walks on the doorstep. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We booked the budget double room for two nights - although there was a good selection of quality drinks/biscuits/toiletries, we found the room too small for two people and two weekend suitcases. It would be ideal as a single room. The breakfast menu catered for a variety of tastes and the food was prepared to order. The popularity of the Sunday roast dinner speaks for itself.

Upon arrival we were shown to our room, which was clean spacious and had everything you could possibly need. Breakfast was amazing along with the service. Will definitely stay again. Thankyou.

We stayed for two nights and had a fantastic time! The staff were wonderful, the room was good with a lovely view and everything you could need. The breakfast was fantastic , evening meal the same. Really loved it and will definitely be returning! Our first time on the island and had a lovely time. Special shout out to Angela and Adam who were super friendly and accommodating. Thank you !

Really lovely spot for a b&b!!!! Staff were really nice and helpful!! Breakfast was really lovely - particularly as a veggie!!!! Room was too small for two and the only reason why facilities scored a four. It was ok for one night for two of us, but wouldn’t want any longer.
Would definitely recommend!!
