The hotel was great overall. It had the basic amenities but the location gave it extra points. It's close walking distance to restaurants, stations and shopping which makes it really easily accessible without walking a lot especially when you have kids. The only downside was the noise. The noise of footsteps from the hallway is easily heard inside the room. I constantly heard footsteps in the middle of the night. Aside from that, the room and beds were comfortable. There's laundry so it really helps when you're in Japan for over a few days.

Pro: Great location. Only 6 mins walk to the Keisai Skyliner station, where to take train to Narita airport. There is a rooftop garden on 11/F open until 11pm. We enjoyed the breezy wind up there at night with the lighted up skytree tower. Staffs at the front desk and restaurant were nice and helpful. Con: We were at the 4/F. The room was dated and not as clean as the other Tosei hotel we stayed before. Bath curtain has black mold or stain on it. Flooring in bathroom is dirty. Hair was found in the towel. There was a huge step from the bathroom to the floor in the room. Seems dangerous to the senior has knee problem.

Staffs are very helpful, we had a problem with our luggage transfer and they kept contacting the company until they are able to contact a person to locate our luggage. They provide new towels, bathrobes and water bottles everyday. Free toiletries, coffee/tea/hot chocolate and crackers in the lobby. Hotel room is clean but small space which is typical for most of Japan hotel rooms. The hotel is just across the Ameyoko market. Lots of restaurants and shopping. Just 3 minutes walk to Ueno station.

We stayed for one night between our flight in to Tokyo and our Shinkansen train ride north. The hotel was a short walk from the train station. The rooms are on the smaller size and the beds are the traditional firm mattresses. Two adults, two large suitcases, and travel bags were tight. It is on the size of a business size room in Japan and small luggage would be best. It was good for an overnight stay or just a place to crash. There are a ton of food options right across the street. The breakfast was a great blend of American and Japanese. Also, they have a free coffee machine so we were able to grab a cup of coffee in the morning and walk around until breakfast. We found Ueno park and just enjoyed the morning. I was also grateful the a/c could cool to 18°C because it was warm in Tokyo.

I give 2 star because of helpful staff and good breakfast. Otherwise lower score. The smallest room I have ever stayed in Japan, also very noise if open the window, room price is higher than other decent hotels in Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya I have stayed.
