this was a girls' trip.
This was a quad room. it was fun to be all together, it was close quarters for sure. given that you aren't in your room much, except to shower and sleep it was fine. it is definitely in the hub of everything-but our room was sooo quiet! be prepared if it is a hot summer, there is no AC that westerners are used to. And not a lot of excess space, but very clean and the staff downstairs were super attentive and helpful.

Fantasztikus This is a very unique hotel and it is in a great location. Right in the heart of the Red Light District, this hotel is within walking distance from all the main sites. While traveling with my wife and two adult children, we got a room for four and we each had our own twin size bed, which worked out well. The bathroom is very small but I got the feeling this was just an Amsterdam thing and locations make the best use of their space there. The only drawback is due to the location, in the heart of the nightlife, it can be loud at times if your windows are open. But, that comes with the great location. Would definitely return on our next trip.

Fantasztikus We booked a room with shared bathroom. The room was extremely clean. The weather was hot but the hotel kindly provided a fans for us which made it very comfortable to sleep throughout the night. It's nearby the train station and it's strategic location makes all the restaurants or cruise or anything you look for accesible and within your reach by foot.

My room had an excellent view of Central Amsterdam.
Very convenient to get around and the Central Train Station was less than 5 minutes away by walking.

Fantasztikus I would give this beautiful place TEN stars if I could!
The hotel staff was fantastic… every one of them so pleasant and helpful (Sammy, Natalia, Anna… there were two others whose names I forgot).
The location was incredible… Close to everything: train station, tram stop, canal tour boats, restaurants, delicious local “fast food” places, quiet streets, landmarks, and beautiful canals.
The canal view from our room was spectacular, especially at night.
We enjoyed local snacks/delicacies while we sat on the bed just looking out.
It was really special.
The room and bathroom were super clean.
There is a restaurant and bar right in the hotel, that looked wonderful; but we were so busy exploring beautiful Amsterdam we found other places to try.
Thank you all at Hotel Old Quarter, for a wonderful stay! We’ll be back!

Jó The room was fine except my partner got some bed bug bites! If that didn’t happen, I probably would have rated a 4/5. The room is ok size, single beds when asked for a double (but that worked out great for me given the bites)! Lots of stairs, as expected in Amsterdam.

Fantasztikus This was my first visit to Amsterdam. Accommodations are basic, but it is all you need. Location is good. Very close to Central Station, most attractions are walkable within the city. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean

Fantasztikus Excellent treat for a night next to the cathedral. Enjoyed the comfortable air-conditioned rooms and the cathedral view. They even kept breakfast open late for us. Will recommend to anyone we know heading to Strasbourg.
