Great place to stay for an overnight very close to the Vienna Central Train Station. A grocery store (Billa) is also just around the corner. Self-check in went well. No way to leave your luggage though. Room was clean and well equipped but we found the double bed mattress was a bit thin and not especially solid. That said, we were very happy with the cleanliness and convenience (to the train and groceries) and price and would recommend this hotel.

This was not our first stay at Smartments, we have always picked the Studio XL, its in a good location at a good price and the rooms are what you want if you don't want to do a standard hotel but want to have the freedom to prep your own meals etc.
Our check in was smooth, on opening the room door we were greeted with strange smell, it only seemed to be near the inside of the door but you noticed it every time you entered, didn't matter how much we cleaned the area and the kitchen area it still lingered, beside that the room fittings are now starting to look worn and well used.
On the plus the rooms are clean otherwise the shower works very well and the provided fan moves the air to keep it reasonably cool.
The laundry there are 6 washing machines and work well, cost 2 Euro for a wash.

My 3 star review was heavily influenced by the heat wave that hit Vienna at the end of June. This hotel is excellent except the fact that it has no air conditioning!

Nagyszerű Great location- literally next door to Vienna Hauptbahnhof. It would be nice to have a welcome pack of coffee, tea. & milk pods - but hey, all really good. Air con? Might need it in Vienna in Midsummer - but not need early June so didn’t miss. Would pay to consider though. I will definitely book again - bring my own coffee/ milk & stick to not July/ August

It is placed 3 min walk from/to Wien HBF, which is very comfortable, especially if you want to get to the airport. The place itself is nothing fancy, and the rooms were small, but it was clean, and the bed was also comfortable.
The Laundry is in the basement, I checked it and I decided I can wait to go home and do my laundry. The vibe of the whole place was like a nice university dorm.

Place is very convenient from the central train station. The room can be hot at times and you inky have a tower fan. You will be forced to sleep with the window open, however, it is so awkward to sleep when there’s an office building across the street who can see you sleeping.
