Everything with the hostel itself was fine but they charged me twice and I can't seem to get in contact with anyone.

Palmita Hotel is a shelter and not a hotel at all. All costumers have to use 1 toilet and bathroom. The owner is fresh and greedy.
At the end they’ll charge you a lot of extra expenses. Not recommended at all if you want to stay in a comfortable hotel.

Do NOT book here. I booked a family room, which was supposed to have a double bed and 2bunks. They end up giving us a room with only one bunk bed for 3 of us. According to the owner Expedia didn't pay them so they rented our room out. According Expedia they did get paid and they won't even refund us a penny, not even for the part they over charged us. The owners solution was that we had to fly back another time to get a discounted stay of the books. Nothing in writing, I just had to take their words for it.
The owner didn't offered us any compensation until we were about to load our luggage into our arrange taxi, that they were going to call their driver to come pick us up... Really? We needed to go to the airport already and expect us to wait. Sorry but not planning to miss my flight.
Although the people who work there are extremely nice and helpful. The owners are horrible.
I was traveling with a 5 year old and a senior. They were so uncomfortable the whole stay.

Owner was quite helpful. She manages the place very well. No common cooking facilities, except a microwave oven (me gas burners at all.

First day i was a little bit disappointed but made lots of friends, in the process of staying at a hostel. First time for everything. I will definitely come back...the owner was very nice to me for my for my Birthday but I don't like the idea she go in the room when you are out..i don't like the idea of using the toilet and not able to flush toilet paper in the toilet. Very unsanitary.

The property manager was super nice and very chill. The walls are a bit thin so if the other rooms are being a bit loud you can hear them.
