While booking and during online check-in, the room shown was completely different from what we actually received. We paid for a family room, but were assigned a room with no windows, no ventilation, and four enclosed walls. It felt more like a dormitory than a hotel room. We also noticed that the higher floors appeared to be assigned to White and Chinese guests by default, while other guests were placed on lower floors. This was based on conversations with other guests on our floor and was our experience, though we cannot confirm the hotel’s room assignment policy. We had to wait till 4:17 pm for check in. While several others got instant check in. Unable to understand this bias. There are several better accommodation options available in the same area that offer better value and a more pleasant stay.

Friendly Staff, right in the middle of Little India. Visiting Singapore, craving for yummy Indian food and want to stay in a clean affordable place? Owen house is your answer!! Nice place, friendly staff and excellent restaurants and shops nearby at walking distance , including the world famous mustafa center right across the street. PS: This place won’t be super luxurious but will do the job, the room that was given to us in the 4th floor didn’t have a balcony.

The hotel looks aesthetic and new but this is deceiving. The beds are not comfy and the bathroom has a weird smell (like sewage) coming from the drains. The cleaning service is every 3 days which is poor since you need to request replacements for towels and TP via WhatsApp (and sometimes requests are not replied to in a reasonable time) - at times the front desk is also unmanned. The facilities in the room are poorly designed: only 3 plugs (out of 5) worked and once the "main switch" for lights is turned off at night no outlets work (so you can't charge phones overnight). The coffee and food in the cafe downstairs is poor too: the coffee and food at other places nearby is better. The only positive I can think to add is this hotel is close to MRT lines, a shopping mall and near to a variety of restaurants (South Asian, East Asian, Turkish food etc).

Close to everything, nice and helpful staff. Comfortable beds and great amenities like kitchen , common pantry and relaxing couches.

We arrived at 1am and waited over 40 minutes for staff member to return from their 15 minute toilet break. We got into our room at 2am. Holes in sheets, air conditioner cleaned during our stay, ran out of toilet paper twice, no extra toilet paper under sink, water temperature hit and miss. Great water pressure, tv in room. The location was excellent. Right beside, malls, MRT and medical centre.

Generally OK. Pillows and bedding had a weird smell. I asked for a new pillow but that also had a weird smell. No tissues were provided which was a bit disappointing. If you are a light sleeper perhaps better to avoid this hotel, lots of families with crying children stay here and there is no carpet so sound travels. Other than that my stay was generally OK.
