Swimming pool not available. Advised to pay to go the sports facility next to hotel. Specialist swim attire was necessary there though. Room design funky but toilet was separate to the rest of bathroom and too far away from the handwash basin for hygiene purposes. Cleaner did not clean room on the Sunday despite sign up on room door. Breakfast options good but tables dirty. Super nice lady on reception but she seemed overworked. Generally, feels like 3 star attention to detail.

Generally speaking this was an enjoyable stay. The hotel is comfortable and staff helpful. The restaurant and bar were closed on the second night. The swimming pool is an adjacent building and is charged separately.

This is the third time I’ve stayed at this hotel while visiting Lyon. My wife and I stayed at The Ruck during the Rugby World Cup in 2023. It was a most memorable occasion, as we shared the hotel with the New Zealand All Blacks squad. The staff were then and during this most recent visit the most welcoming. Food is great too. Lyon old town is easily reachable by the underground train. Takes about 15 minutes tops.

The rooms were ok pretty clean but for being so new already had grout missing in the tile. If you are staying for a rugby match 10/10 on location. If there for the city and you do not have a car it is not an ideal location. Luckily we had a rental car so it was perfect for us.

The Staff were welcoming and friendly yet very professional. The location was excellent for public transport and walking into the centre of Lyon.

Clean room, nice bar and good location. However the hotel bar was shut before midnight on a Saturday which was disappointing. The pool is not included which is misleading. It has particular rules, swimming cap and professional swimwear must be worn and additional charge for guests. I tired to find information about the pool before we arrived. We could not use the facilities with the swimming costumes/shorts we had, we were advised to buy the suitable items at the pool.

Fantastic staff, beautiful rooms. Not super close to main part of Lyon but easy to jump on ebikes and ride beside the river safely and beautifully in to town all times of day. Was disappointed the restaurant and bar were closed during our stay because it was "slow summer" would have appreciated if even the bar stayed open so there was some type of drinks available because there isn't much super close in the area. Would recommend the hotel!
