Although the Robot Town visit was cancelled due to the typhoon, the guide handled the situation professionally and quickly adjusted the itinerary to explore Hangzhou Old Town instead. The alternative was enjoyable and gave us a chance to experience the local culture and history. The guide was friendly, informative, and well organized throughout the day. Despite the weather, we still had a great experience and appreciated the effort to make the tour worthwhile.
SCAM! DON'T BOOK THIS TOUR. We paid SGD 587.40 for 4 pax for the tour advertised Alibaba HQ, Campus and a tea-making experience. Disappointment, the actual was completely different. NO visit to Alibaba headquarters, NO Alibaba-related content. Instead, we were brought to a neighbourhood business park with a bakery and convenience store. NO tea-making experience, instead we were brought to a room where staff hard-sell tea products. Robot Town was merely a factory showroom displaying industrial machines. The tour did not deliver the key attractions that influenced our booking decision and was nowhere near worth the premium price paid. We raised the matter with Klook. Klook acknowledged that the experience did not align with the advertised itinerary, but informed us that the local operator failed to respond despite multiple follow-ups. Very disappointed with both the tour operator and Klook's quality control over tours listed on its platform.
I was able to move on time, and it was a normal tour. The Alibaba Zone B tour was disappointing.
