An awesome experience~ the coache is well experienced in the martial art, very calm and patient with the students in class! not only will travelers be experiencing and practicing the arts but you will get a very informed little course about the history and reasons for Kendo~ equipments are provided with great safety measures and guidance. learn the basics and practice it in matches. most importantly worth experiencing it, and have fun~!

Wonderful experience from start till finish. I was so lucky that I was the only participant for the time slot I had booked, which meant I got to practice directly with the kendo expert himself. He was both patient and encouraging, which was a big confidence boost when trying something completely new. It's a couple that runs this training experience, and they were both so warm and accommodating, even providing me with tips for eating places to fit my allergy concerns.

This experience tought me a lot about Kendo techniques and etiquette. A must do (not only) for all martial arts fans! You will learn basic Kendo techniques and etiquette and even spar towards the end. This will out your reflexes and wit to the test.

We were slightly late to our class as we were lost in traffic, however, they were very gracious once we arrived and got us dressed quickly to join in the class. You learned many skills and drills on using a sword and the ways of the samurai. I really enjoyed the sparring in the end, plus I enjoyed the workout it gave me. They offered us a snack and a tea in the end. Overall, fabulous experience and would definitely recommend.

It was our first time to try Kendo and Master Toshi made it a memorable one for us. It was a wonderful experience - From the extensive knowledge about the history of Kendo that his wife shared with us; to the interaction and practical experiences, all were amazing! Master Toshi was also very patient in guiding us through the whole session and giving us constant encouragement made a difference. Overall, my partner and I had a great time and it’s definitely one of our best experiences during our time in Japan. For those who haven’t tried Kendo before and would like to make your trip a special one, we highly recommend this place and you would not regret it! P.S: thanks Toshi’s wife for the amazing photoshoot as well as to both of your suggestions in the ramen place! It was fantastic! 😮‍💨

HIGHLY recommend this experience. It was definitely one of the best highlights of our trip to Osaka. It suits all ages - lots of fun but also learn a lot. The team is really great and take amazing photos. Book soon before tickets run out!!

if you are going to do one thing in Osaka this should be it!!!!!!!! Great experience. Training was soooooo much fun. Was a good workout and learned so much in the 2 hours. This is a must add to your Osaka trip!! The dojo was beautiful too. Vicki and Tosh are fantastic.

This is a “must do” experience in Osaka. a warm and friendly greeting is followed with traditional Kendo uniform, history and basic training. the training is clear and easy to follow, but best of all practical. after mastering the traditions, moves and strategies it all culminates in a well supervised “battl

ich hatte das große Glück, dass ich alleine den Kurs besuchen durfte und somit eine Privat Session hatte. die Lehrer waren sehr erfahren und geduldig. Es hat rießen Spaß gemacht. das war sein Geld wirklich wert und ich kann den Kurs sehr empfehlen! Kultur pur!

Had a really great time learning the history of Kendo and fighting each other was a highlight. Toshi was an excellent coach and made it a blast.
