Queenstownból Christchurchbe, Mt Cook és Tekapo-tó kiscsoportos túra

A Queenstownból Christchurchbe vezető legutóbbi utunk egyenesen lenyűgöző volt. Ez az utazás Új-Zéland természeti szépségének mesterműve, olyan tájakat kínálva, amelyek mintha egyenesen egy filmforgatásról származnának. Queenstownból elindulva a Lindis-hágón keresztül vezető út kísértetiesen gyönyörű. Gyorsan megálltunk Omaramában, mielőtt a táj átváltott volna a drámai Mackenzie Country-ra. Pukaki-tó és Cook-hegy: Semmi sem készít fel az első pillantásra a Pukaki-tóra. A víz hihetetlenül élénk, tejes türkizkék. A partvonal mentén Aoraki/Cook-hegy felé haladni volt a csúcspont; Új-Zéland legmagasabb hegyének hófödte csúcsát látni a vízben tükröződve egy olyan emlék, amit örökké megőrzök. Tekapo-tó: Elengedhetetlen megállni az ikonikus Jó Pásztor templomnál. A kőkápolna és az élénk kék tó kontrasztja lenyűgöző. A Canterbury-síkságon keresztül Christchurchbe vezető utolsó szakasz békés átmenetet kínált a zord Alpoktól a „Kertvárosig”.

Nagyon jó ár-érték arány, különösen szórakoztató, az út menti táj gyönyörű, mintha a Gyűrűk Ura világába csöppentünk volna. Két idegenvezetőnk is nagyon lelkes és figyelmes volt. Ha az autót is fejleszteni lehetne, az még jobb lenne.

Egész napos road trip volt! De egyáltalán nem unatkoztam! Teljesen átélhető Új-Zéland Déli-szigetének lenyűgöző természete. Mivel számos helyen meg lehet állni, szerintem ez egy nagyon kedvező árú túra. Japán vagyok, és egyedül vettem részt. Mivel nem beszélek folyékonyan angolul, aggódtam, hogy megértem-e a találkozó idejét, de a sofőr külön, kedvesen és érthetően elmagyarázta angolul, így nyugodtan éreztem magam! Nagyon köszönöm. A road trip során rengeteget mesélt Új-Zélandról. Ha értettem volna az angolt… még jobban élveztem volna (nevet). Az autóban ásványvíz és édességek voltak, amiket ingyen el lehetett fogyasztani. Mivel útközben sokat túráztunk és sétáltunk, ez nagy segítség volt.

the driver was so punctual in picking us up. he helped us in our baggages. he is so knowledgable in history of queenstown and nearby cities. he discussed a lot until i fall asleep… he dropped us in some picture spots and discuss to us the transfer that we need in the mount cook. the next driver is also very diligent in discussing stories along our way.

What I really appreciated about this tour was that it uniquely offers many sightseeing spots while including a fuss-free transfer from Queenstown to Christchurch. There is also the option to trek at Mt Cook or visit the cafe for a nice lunch. However, the journey was quite uncomfortable because the 15-seater van was fully packed - and I was certainly too close for comfort to an uncle in the single seat who kept popping to his left and right to take photos ;_; Worst of all, when we reached Lake Tekapo & Church of the Good Shepherd, we only had FIFTEEN MINUTES. During which, I had to use the toilet, and there was ONE functioning toilet, and an extremely long line T_T I spent all 15 minutes queuing for the toilet, and didn’t even make it across the bridge to see the Church up close. So my memory of Lake Tekapo will, unfortunately, just be of queuing for the one toilet cubicle. Maybe in future I’ll just fly and then book a day trip instead…

Driver and tour guide Collin and Carl are very professional and caring. They told us everything about NZ and you will never be bored during the long trip. The timing is perfect and we have a detailed visit in Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo. The 1 hour hiking in Mount Cook is perfect for beginners. It is very good when you need to travel from Queenstown to Christchurch. Though the van was broken in Lake Tekapo, Carl treated us a meal and let us have more time to visit the Lake Tekapo. Will certainly recommend to everyone to join the tour.

Driver and tour guide Collin and Carl are very professional and humor. They knew the best of New Zealand and told us the culture and history of NZ in details. The itinerary is perfect, just got enough time for everything. The glazier hiking in Mount Cook took around an hour which is best for beginners like us. Though the van was broken in Lake Tekapo, tour guide treat us a meal during waiting which was very considerate and let us have more time to have a better look on Lake Tekapo. Will definitely recommend to join this tour.
