I wish that elevator and stair access can be less secured. The thing is, most rooms are good for two adults, when one is going out, they must go together or else you cannot access the elevator or stairs and if not, you cannot leave the room with one staying behind since you need to remove the keycard from the room which turns off all the lights and AC.
