To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from a hotel in a village like Chau doc, and I was super skeptical with my 2 American spoilt kids who expect nothing but the best. But I was in for a very pleasant surprise. The rooms were very clean, and the hotel manager and owner, James, went out of his way to ensure our every need was met. His own kids live in Canada,.so we didn't have to explain our needs. He spent tons of time on Whatsapp with me 1 month before our 1 night trip just so that we can understand how to cross the border with Cambodia. He even booked the speedboat for us as he is very well connected. He made custom made breakfast for us as we don't eat meat and treated us like an extension of his family. He also booked a reasonably priced tour for us and was very honest about what we will get and won't get from the tour. I couldnt have asked for more from this hotel. Don't even think twice about this place as long as he is around, you are guaranteed to have a nice time.

Ok place to stay for a night, out of town location.

Nice hotel, service is great, very helpful, it is out of the main district but taxi is cheap. Beds stiff but comfortable. Rooms clean and nice.

Outside of the temple focused centre of town, this was sanctuary compared to the chaos (we visited on an auspicious weekend) experience. The hotel is medium basic, hard surfaces on the bedroom floors meant that voices and footsteps reverberated around the halls and through the bedroom door (we opted for white noise option of having the tv on). Not premium, but familiar for Vietnam, anything feels great after a 9 hour bus journey from HCMC though) No hot water in the morning. Breakfast was basic. Staff courteous. If I have to endure the journey again and if we have the whole family with us, will consider using again.

They go out of their way to please you 24/24. Their staff is super friendly. I felt right at home

Staff does not speak or understand English. Room amenities missing. No restaurants nearby. Hotel outside city limits, hard to get transportation.

The hotel is on the outskirts of the downtown area and a taxi to and from is needed. Couldn't tell if in safe area or not ... area looks like will be built up slowly. The staff was very friendly though little English. They were able to understand us but could not explain to us in English and unfortunately we don't know Vietnamese. The hotel is big, we may have been the only people staying there which made it a bIt awkward/uncomfortable. The room was large and basic we had four in it no problems there. The bathroom seemed old and toilet seat had a burn mark which made us feel like maybe not cleanest.
