The room had bedbugs. They never bit me but my wife got 4 bites. She has always been more attractive to insects.

FantasticStayed with family
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. The room was smaller than we’re accustomed to, but it was still nice. Comfortable bed(s), working air conditioning, full sized bathtub & a small electric kettle. A mini-refrigerator would have been the perfect addition.
The Welcome Hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance
to a plethora of Cafe’s, Carrefore Market, clothing stores, the metro, and attractions.
The Staff members were friendly and eager to assist with questions, suggestions and recommendations. I somehow managed to blow a fuse in my room, causing us to lose power. The attendant on duty responded quickly and fixed the problem. He even loaned me a proper charger until I could purchase a new one.
I highly recommend staying at the Welcome Hotel. One word of caution, if you are claustrophobic, stay away from the lift/elevator! It’s tiny!! 😉.

Our room was nice, although a little small, and I wished they have an air conditioner, I didn't realize that this is the norm for Europe.

FantasticStayed with kids
We LOVED this hotel! It was in a perfect location in the 6th with a ton of cafes and restaurants nearby. There are also 3 metro stations within a few blocks. It was easy to walk to the Louvre, D’Orsay, Notre Dame, and Seine River cruises.
The staff was so kind- they would help with which metro to take if you wanted to travel elsewhere and even let you take their umbrellas for the day if it’s raining.
The hotel had a lot of charm and character with its small lift and winding staircase. We loved it!
The hairdryer was like a drying wand attached to the bathroom wall- which was actually the best hotel hairdryer I’ve ever used.
The front desk staff was great. We will only stay at this hotel, going forward. Our new Paris home away from home!

I paid $550 per night and the room was not worth it. As someone who travels very often, I will not ever stay at the hotel again. The rooms are beyond small. No where to even open up your suitcase (I leave mine open during my stays). There was a terrible odor in the bathroom, like sewage. The toilet could not flush toilet paper down, there is no place to use any toiletries in the bathroom, and the shower is MAYBE 2” square. I don’t think it would even be possible for an average man to shower in it. The lighting in the room is very poor, so you have to use the bathroom to get ready. The location was good for my trip, so that was a plus. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will never stay there again.
