just 1 block away from St Joseph and the cafes. we arrived super late since we just came from Sapa and there’s no one answering the bell. the glass door was locked and we cant go inside the lobby. no one was there to attend us. but the son went there as soon as the other receptionist of the other hotel contacted them. there’s no elevator. it’s hard if you have big luggages and your staying n the 5th floor. but we managed.

We had a pleasant stay at Especen Hotel in Hanoi. The location is excellent, right in the Old Quarter and just a short walk from St. Joseph’s Cathedral and Hoan Kiem Lake. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, shops, and attractions nearby. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little older, but considering the affordable price and fantastic location, it offers good value for money. One thing to keep in mind is that there is no elevator, so be prepared to use the stairs if your room is on a higher floor. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Especen Hotel, especially for travelers who want to stay in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter without spending too much.

The room was great and big. Everything was good. It was safe and the hotel manager was approachable. The only thing we were not not happy was the heater in the wash room. No matter how we adjusted the temperature, the water was literally getting hotter. We thought we were in sauna.😂 But overall, considering the price which is affordable, we highly recommedended this hotel.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The room was spacious, clean, modern, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The only downside is that there is no elevator, so guests need to use the stairs. Other than that, we had a pleasant experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay. Will definitely book this hotel when I visit Hanoi next time.
