Fantastic
The room was clean with a comfortable bed. The staff was extremely helpful, offering directions for the places we were visiting and storing our luggage on the day we checked out. A fan in the room would have been nice, as it was quite warm and humid when we were there.

Great
This is a lovely hotel just at the end of O Connell street, so very central to the city. The room was fine in size and immaculately clean. The only downside we had was the TV wouldn't connect to anything which wasn't really a big deal as we didn't spend much time in the room. So, for what we spent, this hotel proved a real bargain. Will book again

Great
Staff was incredible: very pleasant to deal with. The building itself is older and the rooms show a bit of age. My toilet flushed had to be pressed a few times to get the water to stop flowing. Bed was decently comfortable and room size was fair in comparison to other single rooms in that area and price range. Overall served my needs while I waited for my rented apartment to be ready. There are a ton of restaurants and a supermarket nearby. The Celt is a fabulous pub within walking distance. All this being said, and at no fault of the hotel itself: the area has really deteriorated in the last few years...since Covid really. As a solo guy that has lived in SF, NYC and Acapulco I'm fairly used to this environment, and aware of my surroundings. Solo females, families, older travelers be warned that there is noticeable drug use and crime. By drug use I'm not talking weed; I'm talking meth and other hard-core substances. The good news regarding this, is a noticeable police/Garda presence at night: like groups of officers, placed regularly as you walk the area. If ur out at night stick to main streets, not alleyways to take a shortcut. Use common sense if you're able ....that is

Solo stay

Booked last minute as I had to attend Ireland for a funeral. Great location but a very average hotel with helpful staff who were great. It just needs a bit more love as it feels a bit sad.

This place was close to everything, and anything that was further, we easily got to with the very useful public transport. The surrounding area was a bit rough around the edges, but no one bothered you. No air conditioning, just a tall oscillating fan to try and cool you down. We went during a heat warning with temps as high as 25 degrees. Also, be warned that the door automatically slams shut.

Creaky and a bit janky. . Lots of ravenous seagulls making all kinds of noise. Nice staff though.
