Fantastic
Like: not crowded, beach was nice, food was good. Dislike: power was out, room was unmade when we arrived. Elevators overcrowded or not working. No one answered phones, not enough towels.

Property is one of the older hotels but over all a good experience. They could use more bar staff it sometimes takes a while to get a drink. Very family friendly. The water park for kids under 10 was great. Overall a good experience.

Great
Overall, this resort offers good value for the price. The property is older, and you can tell from the exterior and surrounding areas, but our room was clean, comfortable, and in great condition. There were a few things that could be improved. The hallway floors didn't seem to be cleaned regularly—I noticed the same piece of trash in the hallway from the day we arrived until we left 10 days later. One elevator was out of service our entire stay, so the wait for the other elevator was often very long, and we usually took the stairs. The pools were clean, but some of the pool towels had a strong odor. I also wish the adults-only pool and bar stayed open later than 5:00 p.m. The Italian restaurant was our favorite. The buffet at La Palapa had excellent service, especially from Nieves, who was always friendly and attentive. However, after 10 days, the buffet became repetitive, and the food quality could have been better. The bar staff also provided excellent service. The Michael Jackson show was amazing and the highlight of our trip. The other evening shows were mostly dance performances. We would have liked more variety, such as comedy or magic shows. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return. With better maintenance, more food variety, and improved entertainment, this resort would be even better.

Stayed with kids

The rooms were very clean. We took our grandchildren and they had activities and a pool dedicated to children.

Great
Overall we are happy with our stay and would consider staying again. Pros: The kids loved the slide, which was the main reason I chose this hotel. We also loved the slushie’s by the pool, the buffet was great, and I loved that the Deli Crown had juices, coffee and snacks available for in between meals. Cons: The elevators had no AC so it made the rides very uncomfortable. It wasn’t so bad until one elevator broke the last day I was there, so the remaining two were packed with people and body heat making it miserable. The dinner sign up was awful. No one told us when sign up started so the first day I would try multiple times and didn’t understand that it wasn’t broken until we asked. 11am is when registration started and it goes FAST. So we only got to eat at someone besides the buffet once. Then when we were leaving the Mexican restaurant option the guy at the podium was super aggressive about scanning and leaving a review. I scanned and said I’d leave it later and he told me to do it now. I said I prefer not, do I HAVE to do it now? He said yes. He had his phone ready to take a picture of my review too. My guess is that they get an incentive if they have proof they got people to do it, but I won’t be bullied or rushed into it unless you want a 1 star. To make matters worse the restaurant barely had anyone in it, even though so hard to get in. Wifi was also very poor. Bring your own benadryl bc they charge $25 for a box.
