Fantastic Booking a second Holiday Inn Express for 2026 was a great choice. The hotel is easy to find in Rouen and made for a very comfortable stay. A big credit goes out to Fabrice who noted my Wife and Father-In-Law are disabled and allocated rooms accordingly for our party. That was much appreciated. We had rooms 014 and 114 which were found spotless and made for a comfortable nights stay. There is a bar which serves a limited menu to which the Pizzas were great and the Croque Monsieur wasn’t bad either. There are restaurants nearby if you fancy something else. The buffet breakfast was superb with plenty of choices to start your day, The coffee was pretty decent too…. Parking is on the side of the hotel on the ‘Rue De Caen’ and is a little entrance through a narrow garage door at a maximum of 2 metres. There are limited spaces and the drop into the car park is very steep so please bear this in mind. Overall a great overnight stay in Rouen and would not hesitate booking again.

GreatSolo stay
ALL hotel staff were incredibly helpful.
The location is 5 mins away from the tram and 1 min from a grocery store. So easy to get into the main part of the city by tram that is every 10-15 mins. Trams are free on Saturday and the line goes to Gare Rue Verte which is the stop for Rouen Rive Droit the train line from Paris.
The A/C in the room was great.
The breakfast which was included was more than sufficient with lots of choices (eggs, cereal, meat, cheese, yoghurt, fruit etc.)
The hotel restaurant is okay for a quick pizza if you don't want to go to the restaurants. They will also heat up a frozen meal for you if you buy it at the grocery store.
The biggest issue was the Wifi. It is a public wifi (which is fine) There is some kind of security issue with an expired security certificate, so you cannot use a VPN. Which is a huge issue if you want to do remote work. I was able to go down to the Starbucks at Saint Sever mall ground floor) and use their wifi for the price of coffee.
The hotel staff tried their best with giving me suggestions of coworking places (but they were all quite expensive)

Nice place, good size rooms. Descent showers. Nice breakfast in the lobby. Can use the lobby to hang in the evening. Parking was a bit unclear, we stayed on the road.

One of few places we stayed that included breakfast. Helpful staff. Beer and coffee available in the lobby/dining area. Quite a walk to the historic distance ~25-30 minutes. Comfortable rooms but A/C wasn’t keeping up.

Hotel is a standard Holiday Inn, but a bit further out of town than I would have liked.
Chose this hotel because it had a car park and we planned to park there overnight. When I booked I was told that I could only use the car park from 2pm. I explained that we would be arriving much earlier and asked if I could pay for extra parking time. I was told this wasn’t possible and had to find alternative parking for the day. Service really wasn’t helpful.
When we did get to the car park it was empty and I really can’t understand why they wouldn’t let me pay to park for an extra few hours. For this reason I wouldn’t stay here again as the staff really were not helpful.
If you are looking for a standard out of town holiday inn with unhelpful staff then this is the hotel for you!
