Great value. We booked a room at the last minute and found this gem of a hotel. The staff at check in were helpful, efficient and courteous. I got the impression that they really loved their job. I will stay here again.

Staff was wonderful, professional to the core and friendly, always with a smile even when swamped from all directions. Booked a premium room, which was comfortable and spacious, incl. the bathroom. Bathtub was fantastic, great to soak in after a dy of sightseeing. Breakfast had everything you could wish for. Rooftop has wonderful views, sadly the bar is closed for now.

Fantastic

Solo stay

I had a wonderful stay at the Presidential. The staff was helpful in getting me checked in early. I also received the complimentary bottle of sparkling wine for being a VIP. The staff also gave information on transit to and from airport which I took advantage off when I departed. The hotel was clean and my room very comfortable. I took advantage of breakfast being served every morning. The location was ideal as it was right in the city and close to subway station and bus stop. It was also walkable to the sites like the Chain Bridge, The Parliament Building and St. Stephen’s Basilica. I highly recommend Hotel Presidential for your stay while in Budapest.

The hotel is perfectly situated, close to the main attractions. Staff are friendly and the breakfast is good. We had booked the hotel due to its location but also for the sky bar. However we were very disappointed to be told it had been closed, 'for several years'. A quick check of two booking sites shows it to be included and giving the impression of being open. This needs to be amended. There is even a sign near the foyer in reception with the opening times! We also found the air conditioning system to be very antiquated. Either hot or cold with no happy medium. There was also clearly an issue with a fire alarm sensor. Repeated phone calls to our room whenever deodorant was used became irritating, particularly after I had asked reception to check it out. The lack of tea / coffee was also disappointing, and to be told there were no milk cartons available was laughable. All in all, this hotel is perfect for a budget stay and great for its location, but the lack of small detail leaves it a 6/10 for us.
