The bunks are built into the walls and very sturdy. The mattress is asian firm, with a thick duvet which is useful as the AC is strong. The bunk also has a privacy curtain, a private light and an electrical socket. There were also 2 USB socket, but they were broken. There's a locker under the bed, which could fit my small backpack and a small suitcase. You'll need a padlock though. There were separate bathrooms for boys and girls. The boys shared bathroom had shower rooms and combined toilet/shower rooms. The wooden doors to the showers are suffering from rot, while the shower walls have signs of mould. There's also no air conditioning, so it gets hot and sweaty after a shower. A hair dryer was provided in the showers. The hotel is close to the main sights of Johor Bahru. All of these were with in easy walking distance: the Old Temple of Johor Bahru; Skyscape; JB Sentral and City Square. There's also a restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel and a cafe next door. Other than the bathroom condition, the only thing I didn't like were the unfriendly the staff. They're not particularly happy or welcoming. Otherwise, I was happy with the stay as the bunks are clean and comfortable. That's all I needed for a 1 day visit to the city

I arrived at the hotel in the evening to check in, but there were no staff around and the front door was locked. I had to wait a long time. When the staff finally arrived, I had to pay an additional non-refundable RM10 tax and a security deposit — this should have been clearly mentioned when booking, especially since I had already paid through Expedia. As for cleanliness, the female dorm was quite messy. It seemed like most guests were staying long-term, with personal belongings scattered everywhere, leaving no space for me to put my things. I got the upper bunk, so I had to lift my suitcase up to my bed. The bathrooms had both squat and flush toilets. They seemed to be cleaned only once a day and were quite dirty. Only soap was provided — no shampoo — but there was a hairdryer. I recommend bringing your own slippers for shower use. The place is listed as a bed and breakfast, but no breakfast was provided. The Wi-Fi was also very slow, so I ended up using my own mobile data. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.

Central easy location to commute to Singapore

Easy location from rail station ,bus station , immigration all close by.shopping preferences whether big malls or small 7/11 all easy access .no negatives

Dormitory's my Queen bed at low level is clean, with adequate lighting in bunk bed. charger point + power point sockets are functioning; Air-Con is good; toilets join with shower head; many shoes; with hot/cold water-dispenser. Good restaurant but start at 8:30am.

Good for short stay if travel alone

Just didn’t like to climb the ladder (I hate being on upper bed and my wrist is injured). But everything else is great

Clean, simple and well organized

Affordability, stone's throw away from shopping/ eating and entertainment belts and accessibility to nearby attractions. Suitable for young Adults or anyone who have not qualm climbing flight of stairs. Shared rooms are rejuvenated, refreshed.
